I love being homeless

OP: I hope you found a place for the night, its late there and cold i would assume. I am sending positive thoughts your way, no one should be outside this time of year. This thread may be a little harsh, but there is some really good info in here. Just look at this as a stepping stone, it will make you understand life a lot better, and you will be better for it! Good luck man, i wish i was closer and could offer some help!

OP

Every gas station you go to(look for a stoner working there), ask when they throw out the old stuff, and bring in new stuff. Like any hotdogs, or doughnuts or anything...

Tell the guy your situation, and ask him if he knows anyone of the throw away shift (or if he IS on that shift ask him) that will give you the trash food for a smoke out :)

Me and some room mates used to do that, at one gs station and we weren't even homeless :) the guy just offered one night :)

Check with local charities.

Those places have showers and the basics like food in the morning.
Around here I sometimes volunteer for two hours in the morning in helping serve the over 100 people who show up each day.

It's especially hard to see little children who had to sleep outside or in a garage some place the night before who are so polite and so sad. I make sure they get the milk and fresh fruits first.

So go see what they have. You may also find shelter at the YMCA.

I slept outside my old apartment complex last night and it wasn't that bad but it was a little cold. I'm gonna try and get the pool key from my uncle and go sleep in the poolhouse at night because no one ever goes in there. I'm also trying to get 50 dollars so I can go re apply for a dorm to stay in downtown. I'm also walking to my psychiatrist's office today to talk to them hahaha. I don't know if I'll be able to continue paying for school but I'm just trying to find somewhere to stay right now.

Ok, so I go to College of Charleston and I lived on campus, today I got my last violation and they kicked me out of the dorm. I don't have any money, job, car, or phone and my own mother refuses to let me live at home. So now I'm stuck at Starbucks and I slept outside last night.

I'm just looking for some advice on what to do. I'm still registered as a student and have classes at school but I can't really go now. So I'm clueless. Any ideas?

Thanks.

How about grow the fuck up and behave your stupid ass.

Someone had to be paying for your dorm room and living expenses? So I would think you could find off campus housing, even with financial aid. Also, you should be able to use some form of appeals process to appeal your "eviction". And if you get back in the dorms, I suggest you take it easy for a while, and party in someone else's dorm room.

Also, use the counseling services set up at your college. They can guide you as to your options available at your school.

I don't even think you should worry about school, unless paying for it becomes available. That doesn't matter right now...You need a place to stay.

If you're in a college town, you can maybe find parties that'll let you crash :)
It's the weekend

this is the only time id EVER suggest church , but i guess you can go and pretend to some religious nut at church that god has sent you there and he is to look after you and steer you on your wayto a religious good life , say you had some devine vision and god insists that he helps you out .

Or god insists that you become part of the church. That just sounds like manipulative bumming TSH, and they could catch on...

P.S. If you do this, bring a bible.

Hey man are you on there? I'll see you.... ON YOUR COUCH! lol
Yeah, not as FinShaggy though, I'll share it on here one day :)
LOL, that's not for homeless people...found a hot looking chick in Santo Domingo though...thank for the link!
I never said it was for homeless people, I said "A network of travelers, and many have open couches"
And he is a college student, with a computer. He fits RIGHT in there :)
All he needs is an account :)

By the way, I've never met a bad person on there. Everyone is there to help.

I mean maybe there are some bad ones. But in my experience, everyone on CS is friendly, and usually smoked weed, or doesn't care at least :)
And everyone is just trying to travel, and meet new people, and hear new stories, and make new friends :)

I can't wait to got o Mexico, I've already got some people that told me I can stay with them when I get there :)

i also learned a good amount from this thread. if you dont continue school, id suggest truck driving. its hard work and a lot of driving, but you get to see a LOT of very beautiful places around the country that you would never get to see otherwise. everyday you drive through at least 2 states usually. if you get a dog you shouldnt get too lonely. your first few weeks you will be with a trainer in his truck. truck stops are AWESOME(pro tip- truck stop would be a great place to hang out if you got one around you. theyre open 24/7 too). the company called "SWIFT" will let you do schooling for free, as long as you promise to work for around a year to pay it off. theres probably other companies that do this as well. others you have to pay for the schooling.
it would be a great experience to do it for a year or two. obviously you have to be clean for this

That sounds bad ass.

I didn't know companies would pay, I'll definitely look into that in the future :)

my dad does it and ive gone out with him a few times for a few weeks at a time. if you like photography, there will be plenty to take pics of. the problem is most of the time you dont have time to make stops just for pictures haha.
and sometimes the companies dont treat you that great. the max number of hours you are allowed to drive without sleeping is 11 hours. sometimes companies will tell you to get from point A to point B in X amount of time. well to do that, you gotta drive 12 or 13 hours sometimes. what sucks is if you get pulled over and the cop sees that youve been driving too much, you get in trouble and not the company. things like that can get frustrating because the people sitting in the warm office dont really give a shit about your problems.
