I love labs...
Id get him off the alpo & put him on some kind of fish formula, usually helps with skin & coat allergies. Ruby red is spot on with the raw feeding (considering its balanced) however i wouldnt expect someone to put in the time & space it takes. A decent all around bang for your buck dogfood is called whole earth farms sold @ petco & feed stores. About $39 for a 33 lb bag. Id still add the coconut oil with it, it only does good!

As far as the fleas go, original blue dawn dish soap is a good flea killer. Bath em with it, spray the house with sentry home flea spray & put a "seresto" collar on him. Youll be flea free for about 8 months.... Then repeat..

The diy flea shampoo has dawn, lavender oil, aloe Vera, coconut oil, apple cider vinegar. It seems to be working and he smells so good. I try and give him a bath once a week. I need to get him one of those collars. I am switching his food but wanted to have him comfortable in his new home first. Thanks for the great advice. Our previous dog Zoie never had skin issues so this is new territory for me. I have heard of whole earth farms before, several of the dogs that boarded with the clinic ate it.

one tea spoon of veg, oil a day is good for dogs coats and fish oil and helps stop the sheading and fish is one of the best things you can feed any dog.thoes tick and flea collars should never be used on a dog there not good for them and hurt there nose in smelling and in man tracking.those collers also couse secures and hard on there eyes it should be aginst the law to sell tick and flea collars.A good vet will tell you the same if hes worth his salt.I have trained and sold lots of dog and have borded thousands in my time and that's the truth.sulfer dine it is yellow and cheep liquid and most super wallmarts has got it in the pet section, that is the best stuff to rub on hot spots or just places that look raw or where there hair is coming out.try that stuff it will grow hair on a rock and your dogs will love you for it..Iam not a know it all but when it comes to dogs there is not much that I don't know...ky

cooking the food defeats the purpose of raw....
in Alaska they feed almost all fish and its beater to cook it,burbot fish got to be cooked raw burbot fish will kill your dogs in no time, freezing dos not kill all the worms and other bad things in fish,I know thats hard to belive but it very true..ky
