I might need a little help with this one

i was gifted a "casing kit" from a online supplier for my b day from a good friend. Knocked up 2 2lb bags of rye grain with GT spores and they are just about fully colonized.

Iam going to get both bags to the trays soon and then case with the 50/50 peat moss and verm that was supplied. My question is how long do I wait after casing to put into fruiting conditions? And will a simple tote with holes and perlite be a decent fruiting chamber for this? I was planning on keeping the tote in my small grow tent that isn't being used right now and I have a small cool mist humidifier I can place in the tent as well to help with rh if need be.

This is my first attempt at growing these so I hope y'all can help a brotha out a little.

Cover tray back up wait 2-3 days until you see sections of mycelium coming through the casing layer. Perlite tub with holes will work fine....Make sure you have good clear tub and hygrometer. Room lighting is plenty. Open and fan for additional FAE a few times a day, also make sure you mist the side of the tub not the casing directly when bringing your RH up.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I will have to go grab a tote after work tomorrow and get some perlite rinsed. Would you suggest saving some of the casing to patch? Seems like there is plenty to case both trays with.

Thanks canndo. I got both trays cased and back in the incubator Wednesday night. Gonna check tomorrow morning to see if they are ready for the fruiting chamber.

Hell even if they don't produce much I am having fun with all this new knowledge to gain, I got the same feeling when I started growing weed. I've been going back to some of the older threads reading as much as I can whenever I get some free time. I can already tell this will be a hobby that won't be leaving my side for a while haha

I know that feeling. Soon you'll be wondering if you're doing too much shrooms (booms). Enjoy.
Don't worry. As HeatlessBBQ would say "You will receive the amount you need. When you need it.". Good luck buddy.

Thanks sprout! Sorry it took forever to get back to ya. If Heatless's saying is true then I must need a lot cuz my trays are going good! Haha, I will be sure to limit my intake so I have some all winter long!!

One of my trays has fruits ready for pick'n, a few of the vails are just starting to break, but some look like they still have some growing to do before their veil breaks. Is it recommended to pull the ones with broken vails and leave the other ones to grow for a bit? I read you want to clear all the fruits in 24 hours.
