Hello purplehazin, ....i have my seedlings i call them cuz they have popped and now they are sitting in the Rapid Rooters.

Should i have the seedlings ( in the Rapid Rooters ) in a container with holes in it to encourage the " ball of roots ! "
How does one get the seedlings to form a solid ball or roots with these Rapid Rooters ?

When should i transplant to the Hydroton buckets...

Thanks for suggestions

Alright haha cool.. How do you hook up your lights though? I have 1 adapter where you plug it into the wall or power strip then you screw in the light bulb and it comes on instantly.

I built the box with left over plywood that I had laying around so you could build it any way you want. Change up the dimensions if you want. I bought the lights/wires/and the bulb socets at home depot. the light bulb sockets are under 2.00 a peice and the wire was around 10 dollars to link them together. Make sure you get the electical conectors that screw on to connect the wires together. Make sure you don't cross the wires too! LOL the electician guy at Home Depot told me you could run 8 bulbs off of one plug no problem but I only ran four just to be safe.

I told the home depot guy that I was trying to wire my own over head lighting for my workbench in my garage. Just tell him you want to be able to put the lights where you want them instead of buying a strip light or some shit. Here are some pics of my veg box.

Use your imagination and you can put the lights anywhere you want them, also you will some on the sides of your grow box if they are going to be in there the whole grow. The only thing I didn't put on this yet was ventalation. I had my seedlings in here and I just left the door open with a fan blowing fresh air in. I wasn't worried about the smell. You will have to build your own ventalation sys but there are forums about that here. You shouldn't need too much ventalation if you are doing CFL's probably about 1-2 times air exchange every 3-5 min or so from what I have read.

I've just thrown all mine in the dirt and they all pop up within 3 to 5 days of me planting them. just keep em wet is the key. doing one right now by just letting it sit in a plastic cup with RO water.
