the tip of the leaves are truning yellow only on one of the 6 that i have in hydro the others look good i have truned the pump off to my set up becouse i don't know if its from the lights that are 2 to 3 inchs off the plants or the nutes please help i have add a pic

since your tips curled up i would suspect the nutes for this mishapping. do you pH your nutes/water before feeding and measure them as in according with the feeding plan?

see, heat stress shows with burns at the sides of the leaf, but this hits the tips...

what type of lamp do you use by the way?

If you're watering them all evenly, and heating them all evenly, either its a nutrient problem, or its just the runt of the litter :) Are you using plant food?

yes i ph my nutes and i measure them according to the feeding plan 1 tbs of earth juice and 2 of fox farms big bloom this week next week i will change it to 2earth juice and 1 fox farm

mmmh, question on what volume of water do you use this.

also, this plant is young and your mix sounds full strength already to me, so this my cause the trouble really, in hydro the first weeks long you only feed 1/16 or less to 1/8 after about 4 weeks un-topped grow! too much food not only kills people dude;)

Thats a pretty cool thread. My plant has just been grown in potting soil, and I use a commercial plant food. Its no giant, but it's doin fine. I have no clue what the ph is whatsoever :) But I grow a lot of plants in my room, so I like to think I have somewhat green fingers.

Could you take the affected plant away from the others, maybe to grow innatural sunlight for a while and see if it gets any better?

no i mixed half of what it said on the feeding chart i'm mixing 1 earth juice and 2 fox farm to 1 gal of water my tank holds 4 gals

well i don't know how sufficient your system is build but this could start by the trouble that your nutes are not well mixed in your tank...

and plants are like people too, so just need less toxin to get crippled some can take more:?

i would flush them out and restart then with a weaker solution really and take no odds on this. the damage done will stay but this would really give it a chance to make it;)

okay, i don't use this to products, also you are mixing to brands here which is never a good way to go, especially if you don't know for a 100% what you doing there, but your tank is smaller then my tank, that holds 13.2 gallons of water. you know, i really switched for this to metric system since it easier to calculate in that. for my 50l tank i need .009l of fertilizer to start with as an 1/16 strength mix. so that is maybe a tablespoon for 13 gallons. you see were i go?;)

i mix the nutes in a 5 gal jug and then put them in to the tank i mix the tank every day when i check the ph i will add a pic of my system i mix the nutes

i talked to a guy that ownes a hydro store about mixing the two nutes he said that it should be fine becouse they were organic

okay, it won't be the CFLs for sure causing this:) you going on a little grodan cube and expanded clay with a top trippind sys...

is it the last plant in line of the drip sys that has the trouble? it could be that at this point you got a little build up of nutes that get flushed at it unitantional, but this a long catch now;)

just take it out of the sys, flush it out and put it back in at a outer spot and increase the dilution of you mix until the got a bit bigger. since you state that pH is not the cause it has to be a over all to high concentration of the nutes for the moment. don't forget that the build up in the grodan cubes and clay pellets too!

yes it is the last one on the line i will try cleaning out the line and see if that helps thanks for the help

that is a good jock and shows me the guy knows shit himself:roll: organics are in general harder to control than pure "chemical" fertilizer, and so are they harder to mesure too. with them really one batch differs to the other a lot, gives me real headaches at my day job:evil:

really if you still mainly trying to learn, grow with non-organics, they are more potent which is a little danger too but over all easier to handle at the start. it is now fun if all your plants die just because the values on the label been of once more.

that really could be it, with my mini plant in lab i got the same trouble all the time, and in big scale it is also a constant pain. especially with heated liquids since they can sometime dissolve less salts then cooler ones, and if then flow rate is not high enough to carry them along they settle down in the tubing's:evil:

ya i cleaned the lines they were full of nutes so i think i have fixed it i'm just going to have to clean the lines every 5 to 7 days i clean out the hole system every 2 weeks so maybe i should change my nutes to chemical next time i have some plants growing in dirt and i have grow that way befor so i will have some bud but i realy wanted to get the hydro thing to work
