Thank you very much guys, I moved the lights further away.

This is my first grow so I know there's going to be alot of problems, but I have the FF nutrients ready to go whenever they ask for it.

Also that thermometer looks pretty nice, I'm gonna have to look into getting one.
it is not pH...as they get bigger move them closer

I mean they're showing characteristics of burning, but I don't get it because when I go down there it's kindof chilly and the thermometer is reading 70F.

I moved the lights further away just incase, I'm also transplanting the "praying" plant tommorow, so we're gonna see how that turns out.

Ambient room temperature (what you feel) is much different than what a seedling would feel 2" away from your lamp. Put the back of your hand 2" away from the lamp. If it feels warm you know it's over 100 degrees. That's going by the assumption your body temp is around 98.6 degrees! :) Young seedlings can't take that kind of heat but a mature plant may need that proximity to the lamp to get the lumens necessary to flower and would have time to become acclimated to that temperature.

I see what you're saying, I never thought of that. Thanks dude, I DID test that, and my hand DID feel warm/hot. Anyways, like I said I moved them further back and I'm gonna see how it goes. Also gonna transplant the "praying" plant today.

looks like your plants have 2 or 3 sets of true leaves, get a small fan blowing over the tops , at the bottom of the lights. At that stage 2" with a small fan blowing over tops ,should be fine, theres a fine line with cfls, those ones that are "praying" are loving the light and could stand more.I start seedlings with a 42 watt cfl at least 6 to 8 " above light as they develop 2nd set of true leaves I lower the light gradually and add a small fan.You can tell if they are loving the light if they grow to it or shy away (leaves curl, almost droopy, not liking it if so back it off) its not the light of a cfl that gets them its the heat, small fan over tops key.don't use any nutes with ffof until at least 3 weeks or you will burn them.
