I Need Help!

Case 1 - using local Reverso Osmosis water it has a PH of 7.2 with an ppm and EC of almost nothing which is what you want with RO.... when adding DNF A and B at a rate of 5 ml of each per liter the solution has a PH of 3.8 WOW OH NO

Case 2 - using my well water it has a PH of 7.4 and a PPM of roughly 290 when i add the same rate of DNF 5ml of each per liter the solution has a PH of 6.3 Thats Better

My thoughts are that there is almost No Alkalinity in the RO which means no buffering capacity with this acidic nutrient and the well water does have alkalinity and it balances the nutrient at a respectful 6.3

I have always used Reverse Osmosis with my compost teas and Organic lineups This DNF was just a test and im now thinkin it cant be used with RO unless i use some serious PH UP to raise that ridiculously low PH

If anyone has and comments or possible experience with this matter it would be greatly appreciated

basically RO water is unstable and has no buffering ability, and a tiny amount of an acid base will go a loooong way, hence your huge drop off in ph when compared to the well water..
With no minerals, their is nothing there to nuetalize the acids (nutrients) you are adding...

Thanks man i was kinda thinkin along the same line. Like what i was saying with the Alkalinity which is a solution capability to buffer acidity. and that said RO has almost no Alkalinity. Makes sense Once again thanks for the reply
