I need soil , what is good since no one has what im lookin for .......... PLEASE HELP

Everywhere I go / call , all they have is MG top soil that 60lb bag / MG Moister control and Scoots soils. WTF , Im looking looking to spend alot since I need 350gals of soil , but what would you recommend I really need some by the time I wake up my girls are grown to the max in there pellets ...........

If you must use either of those two, add a bunch of perlite,(20% or so) and they'll both work well.

So whats the deal here....you dont have a hydro shop in your area... just get a pallet of some Fox Farm. Is that too expensive

MG Organic choice and mix ur own perlite and extra peat moss. works great for me and everybody tried to stear me away from it. By itself its no good. u gotta modify it.

I usually mix a bag of perlite with a bag of soiless dirt. That way you can control all your own nutes. and the soil will dry out faster, meaning more watering, meaning more feeding, meaning more nutrient uptake, meaning biger better buds. Just go to home depot or wallmart and buy the cheapest bag of soil that has no pre-added nutes. And then a bag of perlite for each bag of soil. 1 bag of perlite, to 1 bag of soil. Of course, the soild bag is much larger than the perlite bag. But that's the mix I always use. Some no-named soild/perlite that has zero nutes.

What about pests ?????? Cause the soil I got has no nutes and doesnt say anything about it being sterilized

MG soils are known for carrying fungus gnats, which aren't a joy to have flying around the growroom. Yeah, you can keep them under control with sand(for example), but they'll be back. And, with as many plants as you're talking, you're going to have trouble controlling them. Hmm....yeah, I'd advise against MG stuff. Gnats, are the reason I quit using it. I've used cheap ol' topsoil before, with no pest problems, but other than that, I've used FF.

Maybe somebody who has used Scotts soil, can offer some input? I've read of guys using it, and don't remember hearing of any pest problems, but can't be positive.

Ive been using the MG Organic and I just added a bunch of perlite to make mine and put a bunch of holes in my bucket for good drainage. Sitting water in MG is what brings about the nats. Thats also the case with other organics. So far for me no nats at all. Just dont keep the soil soaked.

Ya , that is some good stuff but at $22 2 cu ft aint going to do anything for me since I need alot. I decided to change my soil to 1.5gal since 3gal is ALOT and hopefully Ill get alot still off my autos .

I'm still looking for a soil so I need more input .

One more question PLEASE , since I changed to 1.5 gal how much soil will I need know and perlite 30%

they dont have that at my shop. Fuck this sucks cause my girls roots just started going threw there pellets so they need a bigger home already

I dont think you are looking hard enough, do you have a plant nursery in you area? They usually have lots of soils at way better prices than the hydro store. Look at subcools supersoil thread in the organics section and make up some of that. Since you need so much it will be totaly worth it.

Wow that is alot. I just paid $6.50/ 2cf at Fred Meyer yesterday. Not sure if ya have one of those but even when not on sale its like only 11.50 a bag.
