I need someone to help me out!

I don't know much about growing, aside from things friends have told me and what I have read on here. I was basically just handed a 3 and a half month old plant because the person who had it needed to get it out of their house. It's nice to come across a free plant, but it isn't doing well. It's between 2 and 3 feet tall, and is only in an 8-10 inch pot. I think it needs replanted bad, but I'm afraid to do it immediately because it looks like the plant is dying from the bottom up. The bottom leaves have fallen off; when the previous owner showed them to me they were colorless. It looks as though the next leaves up are loosing color as well. I have it under 4 cfl lights- 2 cool, 2 warm, with a fan in the room. I'm planning on building a box very soon, but I need to nourish this thing back to green asap! Can anyone help me out? I can post pics, but not at the moment.

Transplant up to a three gal. pot.
Water with a mix of ten drops superthrive and one teaspoon miricle grow per gallon.
It should look better in about six hours........
