i really found the source now!

so i switched over too coco about 6 months ago.
popped tga beans that all went really well.... until about a month in they all started dying
stressed over seeing em more and kore dead everyday i pulled em and decided tp use ro instead of tap seein as i had mold in my faucet.
so i popped more beans and the same thing happend they were all getting eating alive from the ground up. too thw point where i would have or should have 9 node plant only has 2 nodes. my plants looked like palms trees- just a stick with leafs only on top
so i finally figuerd out ita mag def and one has sulfer. so i decoded to use epsom salt but befpre i did i went to thw store to look for dolomite but no luck.
as i was looking for a source for both i found a bottle of cal-mag i had when i did dwc.
but it explains my slow growth lil stems and dying plants.
so my questions are

how much cal mag per gallon should i use? im in week 2 of flowering...
should i use it every waterig or ever otber? or...?

just a def. in mag. and that starts from the bottom of the plant and works its way up..

Some plants like a little more than others but a tsp per gallon each timr should be fine with r/o.not sure if this is your problem though given the symptoms. Best of luck

If you're going coco, I highly suggest coco specific nutes; Canna and House & Garden are pretty common. If you're not going drain to waste every watering, I suggest you do as it's very important with coco.

I would flush with ~.3-.5 EC with calmg added. Then every watering, add 3-8mL per gallon.

I had a similar issue my first time around, was using DNF hydro nutes, bottom leaves would quickly yellow, when they were about to die, the next set would start yellowing, no branching was going on either. I decided to buy some Calmg, then just said fuck it and bought coco specific nutes wasting $25 on the DNF. Managed to salvage that grow, but had issues throughout that grow(by not going DTW, was lazy, no saucers), but not nearly as bad as it was in the beginning.

can sumone explain what exactly drain to waste is?
im using veg bloom so its a coco nute.
and noo im positive its mag.. no doubt in my mind


all the symptoms are there. im in coco which sucks at holdig mag.
its startig from the bottom up. thats cal mag
and it looks just like the pics explains mag.
and lil stems and slow growth are also symtoms of mag def.
i also had low ph. around 5.3 and mag only gets taken up by the plant at around 5.8-6

DTW is just watering until you get ~10% runoff coming out the bottom. When you water coco, you saturate it until you get runoff, wait until it gets moist(~25-40% weight of a fully saturated pot), repeat.

veg bloom nutes? Doesn't really mean anything if you don't mention the company and the type. H&G for example has; Coco A+B, Aqua A+B, Soil A+B. Any nutes can be used with coco, but they're not ideal unless you're experienced.
