I just read this whole thread. Dude, you ok?? Did getting your tonsils taken out help at all? Or did they find anything else?
Doctors are just too scared to do anything anymore. They want you to take this pill for this, or take this pill because the other pill didn't work right because the other, other pill was effecting the the 3 other ones your on.
Here's something my wife and I went through. She has bad stomach pains. She though they were menstrual, because she has always had issues with it. Her doctor told her she should go see a gastro doctor. Got a ultra sound done, found a gallstone. Case closed right? Noooooo. Because she told the nurse practictioner she had pain on her left side, it couldn't be her gallbladder. Had a endoscopy, ct scan, 2 appointments with her gyno doctor because her gastro doctor thought it was endometriosis. Her gyno doctor had her have another type of scan, and then he wanted to put her on this Lupron drug. It through you into menapause. And has some nasty side effects. Scared the shit out of me! Nasty drug. Finaly, I called my uncle (lives in another state) who is a gyno dr. He said the best thing to do is open her up and see what the fuck is going on there. Especially if she has a fucking gallstone! His words. He said we were getting "doctored". Finally I made her gyno doctor give into a laparoscopy. And we went to a surgeon as well to have her gallbladder taken out. He said he should have been contacted immediatly after the gallstone was found. We thought the gastro dr would let us know when to have surgury. Right? Turns out she did have endometriosis and it was connected to her gallbladder and her appendix, which caused her pain on her left side. And her gallbladder was very inflamed and she had 2 other gallstones in there as well. Needless to say she is fine now, better then ever.
This whole fucking process took about 8 months. In that time, my insurrance changed at work because the economy went to shit. So a surgury that would have been almost free, changed to about $4000. We are still kinda younge, (33,34) but are learning who to see and who is responsible to pull the trigger on certain things. Bottom line is, we got "doctored".
