So cold water helps this. Seems like not such an effort to get some color. How long into flower before you start this cold treatments?

Here is some info on the BD. I will post a update on the 50 degree watering of
my Black Dominas with the results of black.

BLACK DOMINA–
100% Indica.
Genetics: 3 way cross of Ortega 6 x Afghani x Hashplant.
Helps with inflammation, insomnia, emotional instability, & digestive disorders. Effects are very sleepy with deep body relaxation. Black Domina is a big yielder and fast finishing. A very popular strain for it’s ease to grow, great final product, and indica potency. 2005 Highlife Cup winner. Flowering time is 7 weeks.
This full blooded Indica with large bracts will soon have you on your knees and begging for more. This harsh overpowering lady simply gushes sticky resin to which most men seem to have a fatal attraction. A word of warning: this powerful compact Indica has had a devastating effect on many a man, leaving them apparently beaten and whipped with a strange smile on their faces.
Black Domina is a powerful smoke. Her resinous buds range from a harsh peppery scent to the dark smell of blackberies. Not intended for the sweet tooth, Black Domina buds taste smoky and spicy, leaving some tokers wondering if the pipe contains hashish along with the weed. She embodies the indica high, with overpowering body effects. While possibly devastating if used in the wrong circumstances, this strain is a great buzz for a day off or a nightcap when no serious work lies ahead.

This multiple cross is basically the result of stacking four of Sensi's heaviest selected indicas in one hybrid: the Afghani SA, the Ortega hybrid developed in Canada, and a combination of the Hash Plant and the famed Northern Lights, both of which have origins in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. Because 4-way hybrids are hard to stabilize, expect the f1 hybrid to show some variation - but also expect 90 percent of your plants to drip with resin.

The Black Domina plant has large bracts and wide-fingered, indica style leaves. This variety was intended for indoor cultivation, and boasts a flower finishing time of under 2 months. The sea of green method is appropriate, but Black Domina will also be good as bigger, multi branches plants. If attempted outdoors, she may tend to run or produce lesser quality buds if the conditions are less than optimal. Growers at Sensi Cannabis Castle recommend hydroponics for a clean and easy grow with the quickest and best results.
Black Domina I've been 5 years! My house brand! Yield, power, power ..... is unparalleled.
Does very well in "Wrestless Leg Syndrome", at Appetittlosigkeit and nausea after chemotherapy. Black Domina is pure poison sleep.
These seductive ladies exhibit wide broad leaves, heavy yeild, dense buds with large bracts, and are dripping with sticky resin. Black Domina`s plump buds have a rich fragrance of spiced fruit mixed with a bite of peppery hash. The taste is of a sweet candied hash and has a pleasantly overpowering physical effect.
Dark, delicious and devastating - Black Domina blends the world's finest Indica genetics into a rapid-flowering, crystal-coated hybrid whose distinct looks set her apart from the crowd. Four prime examples of Cannabis Afghanica have been combined in this fast and easy strain. Domina expresses desirable features from the elite Indica genotypes Northern Lights, Ortega, Hash Plant and Afghani SA, making her equally suited to the needs of cash croppers, ganja gourmets and first-time growers.
Dark, delicious and devastating -

Black Domina grown from seed will display favourable phenotype variation, always with strong Indica characteristics - speed, density, compact stature and amazing resin production - giving any Domina female the potential to be a rewarding, productive mother plant. The phenotype known as the definitive Domina lady can be spotted early in vegetation by her extra height-gain, black-green foliage and huge fan leaves made up of slightly elongated blades. Later in flowering, a massive, sparkling, nearly-spherical central cola makes this phenotype unmistakeable. Growers who are serious about cloning should select their darkest Domina females as 'mistress plants' to provide year after year of world-class cuttings.

Be warned, it’s been observed that after their first meeting with Black Domina, many growers will start to spend even more time than usual in the grow-room - not for maintenance, simply to enjoy the company of such exquisite ladies.
What's going down stoners and stonerettes? Just kicking back with another blaze report on a strain I've never smoked before, Black Domina. I have heard that Black Domina provides good pain relieving qualities and since my UC is giving me problems, this is just what I was looking for. After closer inspection I noticed that this example of cannabis afghanica has a very nice heavy coating of crystal like trichomes on rock hard, hyper dense nuggets with inner light purple hues. You definitely need a grinder with this bud if you are going to roll, otherwise it's like rolling a bunch of pebbles. The aroma of Black Domina is somewhat interesting. Thick and bold with hints of sweet incense, this hashy smelling bud definitely pleases my senses. I have to give the thumbs up in terms of bag appeal.

Like I mentioned before, I would recommend the use of a grinder in you are going to roll. So I proceeded to roll a nice joint in my new favorite papers, Raw and I was up in smoke before I knew it. The taste is very similar to the aroma. Sweet and hashy with Earthy incense undertones that turned somewhat burny toward the end of the joint but not to the point where it was undesireable. I found the smoke to be quite smooth with a high lung expansion factor. I was feeling the head change in about average time, 3/4 of the way down the joint. I was hit with a surprisingly heady buzz that was followed by a deep narcotic body stone that truly had nice pain relief qualities. And high duration was above average. Somewhat couchy towards the end of the high but that met my needs since I am having pains related to my UC. I normally don't get affected too much by "burn out" or couch lock but I did noticed a tendency to get knocked out by this strain. A sweet good night strain if you know what I mean.

In closing Black Domina is an elite medical strain. The great pain relieving properties, non anxiety, ultra relaxing and high quality buzz produced by Black Domina definitely deserve it to be placed high in the spectrum of dank. While recreational users might be turned off by its couch lock tendencies or non "commercial high", I believe that medical users will find great value in this strain. I think I may actively look for cuttings of this strain since it has found a place in my medical cabinet.
That Black Domina is some narcotic smoke for sure.
Yes Black Domina is a really nice Afghanica hybrid. Very narcotic and tasty.

Name: Black Domina
From: Private Dealer
Grade: A
Type: Hybrid (Indica dominant)
Price: $70/8th, $400/oz
Genetics: Northern Lights x Hash Plant x Afghani Indica x Canadian Ortega
Looks: The nugs are covered in trichomes. The nugs vary in color from an intense shade of dark purple or ultraviolet to a lime/light green. There is tremendous bud growth with only a slight amount of leaves which are covered in trichs.
Smell: Smells almost as if you are holding a bar of very rich dark chocolate. Has a hint of a fruit, perhaps raspberries.

Taste: This Domina has a very smooth taste that tickles your sinus on the exhale, almost a sweet aftertaste.

That looks fantastic. I bet it tastes super. Question does anyone know what affects bud colors. I know it can be genetics or growth conditions but where do the purple blue black and white pigments come from?

I like the taste of black domina, rich chocolatey with dark fruits. I am with you on this one Rustee, we need more strains like this one available. Very mature, nice example of of a strain with some good parents.

for the last 2 years this was our main strain. We were cloning the shit out of this plant hardcore. As for the domina itself. The pictures are a true indicator of what this plant can do. One of the most intoxicating plants around straight up. <<<<<< San Jose cloning machine we are.

Just had some last night. Knocked me on my ass!!! WOW!
Iv'e never grown it, but have smoked it. Extremely strong.
Dont make any plans for the day or night if you smoke this very heavy stone well worth a grow.

I'd say that the one most important thing you can do is start out with superior genes (i have Jack Herer and Black Domina from Sensi - wonderful blend of superior Sativa and Indica).
We compared these strains to several cheaper strains (Nemesis, Durban, Grand Daddy Purple, White Widow) But when testing there was no doubt that the two superior strains were way more potent.

..this is a beautiful strain! I took cuttings from these and am growing mothers to keep this strain going

MAN this strain is sticky!!! You can't see well in the photos, but it looks like the buds were dipped and rolled in sugar! soooo much resin...it's like super glue when it gets on your fingers.

.Cuz god DAMN i want some black domina so bad...such a tasty potent pot...i'm suprised its not considered one of the top strains in the world...or at least written up as so.

The most potent strain that I have smoked would probably be black domina. I a, also very lucky to have tried a few different growers versions of it (2 soils and 1 hydro). They all rock. The dank 100% indica is skunky is a garlicy way that really just makes my mouth water. And to think, for the most part I am a sativa man myself...

I also got some black domina from him. awesome plant: short, stocky, finished in 45-50 days and packed on so much weight the plant would fall over.

I am just interested to see if the Sugar Black Rose buds have inherited the ridiculous density i have seen in some pictures of Black Domina ?

FINAL RESULTS: Veg time: about 1 month (let them veg longer to make up for the 3 that died as clones) Flowering time: 60 days Yield: about 1lb (still drying & trimming the last batch of nugs) My opinion on Black Domina: This strain is BOOOOOOMMMBB!!!!! Incredibly sticky, black, stinky, and POTENT! People are constantly telling me this is literally some of the best stuff they've ever smoked! And I smoke a lot....but let me tell you, a few hits of this stuff will do the job! This stuff will seriously sell itself. If you ever have the chance to grow this strain, DO IT.

So cold water helps this. Seems like not such an effort to get some color. How long into flower before you start this cold treatments?
The cold treatments start at the beginning of the last 3 weeks of flowering. If you flower
for 8 weeks then start the cold water treatment at the beginning of the 6th week of flowering till the
end of the 8 weeks of flowering.

Can you provide a thread link please?
Yes, I am trying to dig it up as we speak.
This is what the grower said so maybe you could help
me find the thread? Not so easy but I am trying.

"Bud color changing ~ You can also induce stress that isn't very "dangerous" by watering with cold water. I have seen color changes with cold watering without too much drop in air temps. MY cold water flushes were in the 50 degree range."

I have never done a journal and is it not too late to start one?
My Black Dominas are in the 1st week of flowering and I have pix.
Thank you for the request. : )

WOW!! Thanks for the link!
Mine are from clone, huge and healthy and it looks
like I will be cloning this strain for many years but
some say seeds are superior so I might try from seed
along with clones together at the same time one day.

I wonder if anyone ever has simultaneously grown a like strain from
seed and clone under the same conditions?

Anyone know the best way to store seeds for furture use?
Whether it be a couple of months to a couple of years or so?
Fridge, freezer, dark closet?

Legallyflying was kind enough to answer a question for me about the cold water method so I thought I would add this info

New question to Brian ~ Instead of flushing, I was actually thinking of using the 50 degree water method during feeding of the Black Domina
plants during the last 2-3 weeks of flowering to help obtain those dark hues if not very dark.

During the last 3 weeks I will be feeding with Shooting Powder and I will be trying the cold water method
during this period. Does this sound like it would work in obtaining those dark hues and have you ever tried this method of feeding liquid neuts with chilled water? Thank you very much for the info and I appreciate your help. I will be posting this info on the RIU board
'cause I believe there are others interested as well for this strain and others.. Thank's again!

I will post the info here from Brian asap in case anyone is interested. : )

Why not? You know my real name.
I don't think everyone is that paranoid. : )

Here is the new message from him ~

Never tried it. Could work but cold temps (air) is what traditional brings on color change. Carefully with the shooting powder. Works good but can add a week or two.
LF

Since it has worked for him during flushing I will try the cold water method during
feeding the last 3 weeks of flowering. I think this is a cool experiment that will not have
any ill effects cause it's just colder water! I'm currently in the 2 week of flowering so I will
be trying this cool method about the 6-7th of this October. If anyone is interested in the outcome
Lmk here so I will know to post at that time and at the end of flowering for the results.

Is anyone else going to try this method during flushing or feeding in the last 2-3 weeks of your
flowering? If so, what kind of strain(s) will you be trying the cold water method for those awesome
dark hues and taste?

Rrog, looks like were in this together!
