Yes, that same Ken Carter lives with me. He just left this morning because they've got a game. I only talked to him for a few minutes. By the time I got back from work this morning, he was already on his way out. But he will be back tomorrow and I think that's when I'm going to the practice with him. And believe it or not, he's driving around his 76 year old aunts Kia Rio. I don't know if he spent all his money up or what, but he's just an assistant basketball coach at a college nearby. SUNY Canton. They want him to stay for next year, but he's got a fiancee back in Germany and he wants to go back to her. He said European basketball is better than American. Especially in Spain. I guess he played for them for awhile. He says the only reason he still does it is because of the money and girls. But I don't know how much they make over there in Europe. I imagine somewhat as good as over here?

Not even close. Relax, my man. He's a big guy who got to play a sport professionally. That was almost 20 years ago that he played in the NBA. If he had any money, he wouldn't be living with you and driving his aunt's Kia. Let him be.

Do NOT hide tiny cameras all over your house and think you are going to sell video feed online, because aside from you, nobody cares. I say that in love. The man puts his pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us.

FYI, 65% of US pro athletes are comlpetely broke, and usually bancrup,t after two years of leaving sports. It's a stat none of them wants but it is reality.

That's a bad statistic. I didn't even know. But yeah, I figured he ain't got no money. And, no, I ain't gonna put up tiny cameras. Lol. Like I said, it was a momentary star-struck, because I've never had anyone of that status live with me, let alone know one personally. I have realized though, that he has a love of the game. He's been doing it for so long, and he don't plan on quitting. That's commitment. I wish some other professional sports players (whom I won't mention) would play with that kind of commitment.

That's cool man.
Better than my first time socializing with a pro athlete.
I was at a bar, playing pool, and one guy I had been playing, and sitting next to at the bar started chatting, and he introduced me to his girlfriend, and somehow we started talking about sports, which I didn't follow too closely.
After telling me he was Charlie Weaver from the Detroit Lions, and of course I didn't believe him, he showed me his I.D.
He was a BIG mean looking black guy, and he pointed out this permanent looking indentation across his forehead, and asked me "You know how I got this?..... From that damn helmet always banging into my skull."

Hey, I'm supposed to be going to practice tomorrow night to do some hobby photography. I used to be pretty good at hoops. Being tall and lanky, I've always been a good power forward. And I can still take it to the hole old school style. I'm gonna see if he wants to play one on one. He was telling me that he gets bored there sometimes, because he goes in hours early. Just because he don't know anything about this surrounding area, and so he'd rather hang out at the college than do anything. So I'm gonna see if he's got some game. He'll probably stuff my deuces, but if I can catch him outside the top for the 3's....I have an unofficial percentile of around 65-70. That's fair for someone who only ever played 4 games of JV season football, a bunch of wrestling, boxing and martial arts. I think because of the ADD and the Aspbergers, like I'm pretty naturally good at sports. I'm no ace-in-the-hole, but I would definitely appreciate the opportunity to have some court time with a former pro. He may have his supposedly unreleased Jordans, but my Chuck Taylors will sweep him Dr. J style.
But yeah, the only other famous people I've met personally are Violent J and Blaze Ya Dead Homie, and that's cause I was at the Gathering. Everybody pretty much meets them all while there. That and Steve Anderson (Stone Cold) and Chuck Norris, but that's not fair cause they used to do DARE speeches at all the schools in Dallas and all over the state. And they are boring to listen to. Lol.
