I (still) can't clone!

My cloning (with rockwool and Clonex) has a success rate of less then one in ten. It's obvious I have a problem here. Could I, you think, try to tackle this by some DIY aero cloner or something? Youtube has many tutorial to those things.

I didn't have success with cloning until I bought a dome and a heating pad. Out of 20 I only lost 2.

A propagation/cloning tray is your best friend for this! It's cheap, easy to make, and everything can be bought at Wal-Mart for under $20. Let me see if I can find a quick guide on this instead of typing it out. I'm getting tired.

Yep, got it from The Cannabis Grow Bible. Here it is:

Propagation kits:

"This is a method whereby the seeds are placed in small unit,
called a seed or clone propagator, which is designed to help plants
germinate. One such kit is called a rockwool SBS Propagation Tray.
Some of these kits can be heated and look like a miniature greenhouse.
At the bottom of the tray is a small area where water, or even better
‘some germination hormone’ is poured. Small grow cubes called
rockwool cubes are placed into slots in the tray, which automatically
dips the rockwool into the solution (Figure 3.8). The seeds are placed
into tiny holes in the cubes and the cover is then put back on the unit.

This has a very high success rate. All the seeds can sometimes
germinate and in most cases often do. The disadvantage to this method
is that you need to spend money on the tray, rockwool and grow
fertilizers. The price of the tray is about $10/£10, the rockwool cubes
$5/£5, the grow fertilizers $5/£5. If you have spent $50/£50 on seeds
then why not spend the extra $20/£20 on getting a small kit together
like this. The other advantage is that you can use this same tray to help
root your clones."

Hope this helps!

I cut, dip and stick them in dirt and run close too 100%. Just have to keep the stem wet till you see roots mist occasionally

I hate rockwool. I use peat cubes. Root shooters work great. They have a slight nutrient in them as well as root hormone. Out of 30 I get 30. Try them. They come in a tray all u need is the matching dome and a low watt light. Flouro tube works well.

If I calculated my time to acquire everything and put it together, it would have doubled the cost of my $60 25-site aerocloner, which I have nearly 100% success rate in.

I too couldn't clone worth shit in rockwool.
