It looks like your buds have ripened quite a bit, but the continued growth of white hairs is most likely a sign that your buds are still swelling up and finishing. Your leaves are lush green. I take it they still have lots of nutrients within the soil/leaf stores?

I would take the next week or so to start flushing your plant with WATER ONLY so that it will start to feed on the remaining nutrients in the soil, and once that is all depleted, it will move onto eating at your fan leaves and whatnot. This is more than fine, as you are going to cut the fan leaves off and most if not all will have little to no THC, so don't be worried about that. When the plant starts to "autumn off", or yellow, that will be a sign that she is fully flushed and should be ready to go. This will lower the plants overall nutrient/chemical/chlorophyll concentration, which in turn will increase the overall aroma, smoke, & flavor of your buds. You want to make sure you avoid that potential hay-like or harsh chemical smoke that burns black, and instead, flush so that you achieve smooth buds that take on the natural genetic flavor (whether sweet, sour, berry, ...) and burn no problem to a light grey colored ash. This is a sign of properly flushed/cured bud.

***** TRICHOMES WILL TELL ALL - WE CANNOT GIVE YOU AN ANSWER ON EXACTLY WHEN TO PULL, SO BE SURE THAT YOU ARE PULLING OUT A MAGNIFYING GLASS DAILY AND ROUTINELY WATCHING YOUR TRICHOMES. CLEAR TRICHOMES MEANS YOUR BUDS HAVE NOT YET REACHED FULL POTENCY. 60% CLOUDY WILL BE ABOUT FULL POTENCY AND ALLOW YOU MORE OF AN ENERGETIC/HEADY HIGH. WHEREAS IF YOU ALLOW IT TO GO EVEN LONGER TO DEVELOP INTO 60% AMBER COLORED, YOU WILL NOW HAVE AN INTENSE BODY HIGH. ANYTHING PAST 60% AMBER AND YOUR CANNABINOIDS START TO DEGRADE, SO KEEP A CLOSE ON IT!!! *****

Hope this info helps ... Cheers! =)

Mazar, thank you for your detailed response. I shall begin water only directly. I am due a bout of bad weather, a week or so of rain, I am concerned that if the plant is in a damp environment it will be prone to mould. Can I move the plant inside and still be able to have fully flushed bud if I have little direct sun but it is in a dry place?

Thanks again and hit me back

Best

No problem! You will notice a big difference with the flush...

As for the weather, I understand your concerns and at this point where your buds are starting to peak on size & density, you really want to avoid moisture water loading your buds, otherwise yes, MOLD, MILDEW, BUD ROT, WORMS, ... are all possabilities of things that weather could bring and destroy your crop at the end. Usually when that stuff hits, it's just part of the plant and it needs to be cut off before it spreads to other areas, but obviously you want to avoid any damage at all.

So YES, I think that is more than fine to pull your plant indoors while it's storming outside, as long as you don't keep it in light at night time and mess up it's light cycle. You can either A) Put it back outside at night if it stops raining so it stays in it's natural outdoor light cycle, or B) Toss it in a dark closet, room, basement, ... inside and allow it to stay sheltered. It's up to you. I didn't realize you were in a pot, I thought you were directly in the ground, so it's nice that you can move it and have this option. And flushing is MUCH easier with pots, as you can strain the runoff and have less soil to flush. I have about 300-400 gallons of soil to flush per plant in mine that are in the ground, so I'm sure you can see the difference there.

Another tip that you can do since you do have this in a pot and have the option of moving it ... A lot of indoor growers are starting to do cycles where the flower, flush, and in the final days before pulling, they TURN THEIR LIGHTS OFF COMPLETELY and allow their plants to stay in pitch black to finish. The reason for this is they will stop photosynthesizing and producing chlorophyll, and instead, feed even more on their inner stores for energy and thrichome production, and it's supposed to really push them even further in production. Some growers do it for 2 days. I've heard of guys doing it for as many as 5 days. I'd say 2-3 days would be fine if you want to try this method. I did it my last indoor grow and DID notice positive results on my plants, so I came to find this technique is no myth.

I look forward to seeing the pic updates! Keep us posted

It really depends. We can't see his trichomes with those pics. He needs to take a magnifying glass and really inspect it top to bottom.

FYI for your plant, 10 weeks is getting to the point where you're about done. The most strains that need extra time to flower really need to go is 11-12 weeks, so I hope you're getting ready to flush and it things. Esp since you mentioned you already have amber trichs. If you go past 60% amber trichs on your plant, your THC/CBN/CBD levels will all start to DEGRADE and while it may look dank, you will no longer have the strong potency that you currently have. And it's way past where it will offer you a stony head high, amber trichs are gonna give you an intense body high, couch lock.

Do you have a journal on your grow going?

You CANNOT rely on pistol appearance to judge whether bud is done or not ... While it can be a decent indicator, it's all about the trichomes and what they are telling you top to bottom

I've had plants that were approaching 60% amber and were ready to rock, but there was still lots of white pistols. It really depends.

Meddlesome, how's that magnifying glass coming along? What colors are the trichs that you are seeing from the top cola down to lower branches? Clear? Foggy/milky? Amber? 50/50? 70%? Let us know what you find out and pending on the concentration & qty of various colored trichomes you are seeing will help us better advise you. If you're seeing clear, then yes, you could prob go 2-3 weeks. But something tells me you are almost done and will see milky approaching amber. Just my opinion tho.

Thanks brother. No, this is my very first grow. It started as an experiment and I got two nice plants out of it. It was bag seed so I don't even know what strain. I've learned so much doing this it's incredable. I started taking a branch yesterday and I may take some more on Sat. I have to pick and choose my processing time so both will come down in steps. The other one is 2 weeks behind so thats a good thing. I've experimented with several different methods of drying and curing so when the bulk of it is ready I'll have some dry runs....On the first one I have 5% clear/80% cloudy/15% amber. There is some new growth but bigger fan leaves are turning yellow. They hermied on me about 2 weeks ago...both plants at the same time. I think both of them were too far along to seed but I don't know for sure with the other one. If I get seeds oh well. Seems like good weed so far.....

PS...I cut the nutes 4 weeks ago...just been feeding it water.

Mine are in a similar situation my two 6' started shooting pistils around mid july. the pink indica doesnt have many amber trichomes that i can see without aid, except most leaves are all amber, doing a part harvest sunday morn, before sunrise lol. Also i havent been fertilizing my plants for about a month either. bongsmilie:
