you look good to go sure , have you done the right research involving flowering with cfl's as abose to hps ? you may think you are saving money now but in the long run you wont , ok the lights are cheap and your electric bill will be lower, but your buds will be megre to put it mildy in comparason as long you have done this research and if your budget and room size only allow you to flower with cfls then indeed your good to go =)

p.s my first grow was with cfl's i was so dissapointed , i have done 8 hps grows since, i always veg with cfl's ....good luck =)

Thanks for your support, I appreciate your input. I really hope I can make something happen with these CFLs, I was going to start with a HPS 400w, but honestly, I am a reptile owner ( quite a few) there a lot of bulbs in the reptile room that are racking up the bill and the heat durring the winter, kinda hoping this is a cheaper alt. that will still produce buds that I will enjoy smoking. Tired of spending 300/mo on weed that I can grow with a bit of patients.

Yeah, what he said. You'll get some buds, but they'll be loose and leafy.

Peace and Good Luck

i agree with everyword you have said in this quote, something will happen , you will grow nice buds that im sure will be pungent and dank , just with hps you get more meat , thats why i first started, i hated being ripped off.....

Here is how the lights will be set up, will have 2 of these rigs for both veg. and flowering. (Just with different bulbs )

And the velcro for the outside of the door frame, will have a black tarp covering the door for 90% of the time.

what space are you growing in ? i didnt see any inline fans or pc fans or any euipment for venting ?

I am working in a 4x6 closet, about 10 feet high. I will be getting 1 or two medium sized fans for the enclosure, other than that, I will be growing Northern Lights, and from what I have read, NL has more of a fruity smell than a 'pot' smell, so I should be good with that. Thanks for your help!

NL is dank and stinks !!!!!?? lol
i meant fans for keeping temps stable , they need fresh air as much they need light ....i wasnt meaning to vent the smell you need fresh air in and hot air out,
all those exstention leads hanging jammed with sockets is not good my friend,
those coil shaped cfl's are prob the worst 1's you could have choose,
you are me 4 years ago , and boy how i have learned....
if your like me you wont be told lol
peace and good luck =)

If you do it right your buds won't be loose and airy! Trust me as I tell you CFL if done properly can be fat dense nugs... And those twisty CFL are good to go just use the ratio that I told you and your buds will be primo..

Well I appreciate both sides, I am going to give the CFLs shot, it is more of a learning experience than anything, this is my first grow.

Busted, i would be very concerned with ventilating that room. What kind of reptiles do you keep? my friend is a huge reptile nerd, the set up for his Chinese Water Dragon is a 4'x5'x7' heavily planted enclosure. with the lights fans pumps and heaters it uses more power than his 400w cab did. in 4 months when you buy a HPS (and you will :D) go for the 600w its more suited to the space you have.

Best of luck and happy growing

this is the most honest answer ive seen on page one.
the first peopl who said your buds will be leafy and not very dense just suck at growing with CFLS, dont take everything they said.
