i think i just killed all my seedlings

So this is what happend, I have been keeping my 6 beautiful little babies (auto skunk) in a pc box with a 42w cfl, they are about a week and a half old and were looking great, i decided i would give them a little fresh air and sunlight so i put them all out in a feild under the sun in a container. A couple hours later i came to check on them and to my unfortunate surprise almost all of them had collapsed. i misted them, and brought them back inside to realize that the sided of the cups they are in were super hot so then soaked the roots in decently cold water for a small amount of time, made some splints and set them back up in my pc box. what i then noticed is, at the bottom of the stems, right near the soil, the stems thin out significantly and is kind shrively and sad looking, the leaves are all still looking happy and green but they need to be held up with the splints. im stressing that they wont live to grow another day and its crushing me. any advice? (please help, this is my first grow and i put my heart into those little beauties)

Add more soil to support the weakened stems and hope for the best. You have probably cooked them, but there is a small chance they could make it.

damping off......yes......dead. dispose of them, and keep it drier next time

agree with above. but never put roots in cold water to especaily at that age. just shock them more.
do what youre doing put the back in youre pc box were they were happy. mist like you have if you can increase you're rh slightly so good 60 percent. (what strain are they).. just incase they having a hard time to transpire. i know instinct is to give them water and more water to cool them. nar just keep them moist as before and that all you can do or and talk to them. also are they showing real deep purple stems(if not strain related). as you could use a small amount of rhizotonic. like 0.5 mill to a litre. just help with the stress. also super thrive. but ive never used and have no idea how to. so i carnt really say any more on that as i just repeating what i ve read and i wont do that. but imho there not much you can do aprt from exp gained. which is pricless

Well, this is your first grow so don't feel bad. It seems common sense that they would love the sun, but when ever moving a plant to a new environment you must do it as gradual as possible, especially with young ins. With the stems shriveled I would be suprised they make it, but you never know. Just keep them staked up and don't play with them too much. Just keep the soil moist and under the same light and hopefully they will pull through. If they do live, it will take a while to start growing vigorously.

What strain is it that you are growing? Good luck and keep it green!

thanks alot for the advice guys, the strain is auto purple. and i didnt put them in cold water just slightly above room temp, the roots at the bottom looked super dry and sad looking so i though it would work. There are three that look kindof okay now, they still cant quite stand on there own but the leaves are nice and green and still growing at a steady rate. i think i might transplant them kinda soon (when they are more healthy) to a bigger pot with better soil and see what happens. If it would help, i could post some pics. Also, there is one upside, there is a total of 20 plants in this grow but they are in groups of 5 or 6 between 3 people, witch i now realize was a great idea since the others are still doing well. but since these are my babies and i have grown them from an itty bitty seed, i realllllly want to see them grow and be happy.

see what a couple of days will bring amigo. you may loos 3 or 4 but atleast u get sumat. burry your stem further down in the soil . and pack soil round the stem to support it more. i would advise u invest in a small hi top propergator next. help u in future much easier.

Google it mate high top propergator they have diffrent ones for diffrent grows.

its used to start sedlings off better with better results. 1. there protected, 2. helps keep humidity correct, 3. keeps temp at a constant temp. just easier in all

WeeWorlds, when you saay propogator is that the same as a hydrodome? If so I would highly suggest if rooting clones in one that when the cuttings start to show roots, open the dome over the course of a day. Prop up the dome a little, and then a few hours later a bit more and so on until it is fully off. This will prevent shock. This has only happened to me once when a door was also open and a cool breeze entered the room. They all fell over limp, but they eventually came back. Just thought I would mention this. If propagator didn't mean dome then oh well, extra info for may be later lol.

Never just bring an indoor plant outside in the full sun. You need to acclimate the plant for outdoors because even a shitty day produces much more lumens than l 600 watt bulb

Take your babes out for an hour the first day than 2 hrs the next. You should be fine after that.

ahhhhhh shit. i thought they were gonna be okay but this morning, everything was dead, limp, weak and fully useless. I dont know what happened. im pretty effing discouraged.

if you bury them up to the bottom leafs then new roots should shoot out of the stem above the shriveled part if they arent too shocked from the cold water. i would do that immediately and if they do happen to die just dont give up and remember that if something is going good then let it be. dont overlove your plants and never try to fix something that isnt broken.

oh damn, i didnt read that last post. if they arent completely dead though and you havent gotten rid of them then do as i suggested in the post above.
