if ya trichs are 50/50 then its prob a gd time m8, but if their are more new hairs juttin out then it will go a bit further. at the same time wen it gets to the stage where there are absolutely no new hairs growing thats wen the plant is almost dead lol. i usually have new grwth at harvest as the bitch is so desperate to find some pollom before it dies that it will keep going till its dying day. however that doesnt mean its not ripe yet. pics?
Makes sense, that she would keep growing almost past a plateau point, or past ripeness. I was leaning towards harvesting today.
It's an autoflower, AK47XLR2. This Thursday would mark about 10 weeks of total growth time.

they do still look like they have a while m8,, have u started flushing yet? normally at the end of flowering ya fan leaves will yellow off.

let me know how they smokeI have flushed. I took more of a closer pic. The pics don't show that a lot of the lower fan leaves have already yellowed off and died. i always flush for at least two weeks .by this time nearly all fan leaves are dead and saves on trimming lol
I'm definately not in a rush, but at the sametime I have read that if you wait too long, where there have been amber trichomes for awhile and they end up being the majority, the THC will start to degrade. I thought going by the color of trichomes was the best way to decide when it's time to harvest. I just don't want to wait too long and my bud not be as potent as it can be.

I bought a 60x-100x from Radio Shack, I use the 100x magnification.

i think that plant looks plenty done. cut it when you are ready. also a scope helps but is not necessary. people take their harvesting a little too far on this site i feel.
also what part of costa rica are you from? i was in Quepos about a year ago. i got my imperial beer shirt on right now. pura vida!

I live in El Llano in Alajuelita, it is in the mountains outside of San Jose. I've lived here for about 5 months. It keeps me close enough to the city to where it's not a huge trip, but at the sametime far up in the mountains to where I am away from people. Yeah I love me some Imperial, Pura Vida!
