I think they are dying, please help

Hey guys i think my babies are dying and i want to help them out they are on the third week. They are showing yellow spots on top leaf. They are looking real droopy real sad. What am i doing wrong..? I was watering them once a day? Untill someone told me i was over watering. So i let them drain for a whole day.. I got them 24-0 under light.. They are on the third week.. No nutes.. Two 100 wtts cfl's warm i think.. And mg seed starter.. Please help if they are good for nutes let me know... Also the lights were about 2 inches from plant.. Temp stay around 65-75 not realy sure..

Any advice right now would be very helpful

Looks to me like you just over watered the hell out of em. I would stop all watering untill you can pick up the container and it feels super light, then water them again. Also what soil and what nutes are you using. The more information you give the more people know to be able to help you.

I havent used Miracle grow since everything I have read about it is bad. I am by no means an expert, but I am pretty sure it is just from over watering. They should recover in the next few days or so, at least thats what happened last time i over watered.

MG is the shit lmao. All nutrients that you find in the $40 dollar/gallon jugs of nutes, are in MG. They're all the same. Nitrogen is nitrogen, phosphorus is phosphorus, and potassium is potassium lol. Same for secondary nutes & trace minerals, imo though

OK, Well, the plants should be allowed to dry out, the lights should be 3-5' away from the plants and they NEED some nutes.

Dont use MG soil anymore. it only ever causes problems fro newbies.

They're all the same. Nitrogen is nitrogen, phosphorus is phosphorus, and potassium is potassium lol. Same for secondary nutes & trace minerals, imo though

well, just to burst your bubble.... No actualy, Nitrogen is not just nitrogen... Secondairy nutes arn't just secondairy nutes ethier. if i pour Potasium Phosphate (KH2PO4) on my plants they die. if i pour ammonia (NH3) on my plants they die. Clorine, boron, Calcium chloride, Nitric acid... all toxic to humans and plants.

plants need nutrients which are readily available for uptake. MG has Urea and ammonia nitrates, both of which are NOT useable by marijuana. thats the reason his plants are DIEING.

Don't discount MG all the way. I have used MG for flowering plants in my F&D hydroton/lava rock table. I go 1/6 of what any fert says for dirt on the label. On one A&B compound fert I found I had to cut back even further on the A.

yea, it does in TRACE amounts. trace elements that arn't needed in fertalizers unless your growing Hydro bud. Hydro = Nutrientless mediums, such as coco, hygroton, perlite, etc. when using these mediums the trace elements need to be supplemented.

Plants which are grown in Nutrient Rich soil ( Such as MG, with its crap slow release ferts....) should have the trace elements allready in the soil.

The problem: when you have trace elements in the soil, and trace elements in the fertalizer it causes soil toxicity.

Recomended nutrient levels for plants up-to Mid-Bloom, or first Cluster (Flowers)
(N%)= 3.50–5.00 (P%)= 0.70–1.30 (K%)= 6.00–10.0 (CA%)= 1.40–2.20 (MG%)= 0.30–0.70 (B/PPM)= 25–75 (FE/PPM)= 60–300 (MN/PPM) 50–250

When they are just babys you want to keep the soil moist and not let it dry out... when they are matured its a different thing.

That is some VERY good info. MG isn't bad if you know what your doing. im just saying that it can cause problems for new growers. 1/5'th is what i used for my first grow (MG soil, MG nutes....) and it worked, but i could taste the soil in the plant.... it tasted dirty....

I know exactly how to fix that nasty taste problem. I resort to trace amounts of domonite lime and screened plant ash to ensure my mj gets the proper micro nutrients.

Its good for starting out the lants i think thats about it.. as far as i know and i started to give the bigger plant some nute.. idk how this one works but its what i found... 1/4 teaspoon a gallon..
