This suck's i finally got hps and i didn't know that i need all the other stuff too. i was so happy to see what it would do

the ballast, i just got the bulb, 1 mh 175w and hps150w

If you didnt buy the ballast, than how could you be happy to see what it can do? As you'll need the ballast to see what it can do!

i want and got a fixture now, it's a wall mont 150w hps, it came with two wire's and all i had to do is connect to a cord

I got hocked up with a 1500w bulb, but i still need to get the ballast and a better cord, but the 250w is working great, so i can't wait to get the ballast anybody know where i can get the set up(homedepo,lowe,Ace) or is online better

what does the ballast actually do?

Im looking at $400 for a 600w HPS setup with ballast, $600 with an exhaust fan

transfroms the DC power into AC i think, but you need it to run your lamp is i did not know this a week ago.

battery is DC everything else is AC, house is AC. think its more of a regulator for voltage.
