i don't know what state you're in but that's not quite how it's done in florida..in other words, you would NOT qualify.
I absolutely WOULD qualify in Florida.
A trust is not considered an asset, neither is your residence or the car you drive, regardless of their value.

So yes, if you have a home worth $12 million and drive a $250,000 car, and have a 100 Million $ trust fund, you would qualify.

SNAP is easy to get for anyone who doesn't have an actual income, they can be rich as shit and still qualify.

My wife is going in for knee surgery later this month, there is nothing elective about it if you can't walk, work or exercise. Sedentariness can be as life threatening as many diseases.

We have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, about $312/month. Surgery is being performed at one of the best facilities in NC, Duke Hospital, about $12,000 all in. $3,000 deductible with a $2000 health savings account that also goes towards the deductible when it's used. Our total outlay will be around $1900.

Fuck ObamaCare and the SUBSIDEEZ that it propagates. And we all know SUBSIDEEZ are free, appearing out of thin air and never need to be funded by anyone.
finally someone from the right understands this concept..your wife is responsible for herself..sounds like she hasn't been doing too much exercising so i'm not sure how you can complain about it.

a policy for an aging couple with medical conditions? $312/month? that is a fucking miracle..what exactly do you want? and you're complaining about a $1900 expense for a major surgery?

Would you die if you didn't have the elective knee surgery?
What would private insurance have covered for this elective surgery?
We will all die, regardless of any surgeries or health conditions, or even the lack thereof.

We will die faster if we can't Run from danger, or toward helpful substances. We will also likely be less content and more tormented, if we can neither evade danger nor chase dreams (neither of which work very well with a bum knee, or any other mobility impairment).

I think selective reasoning is one of the biggest problems plaguing this world. Too many people like to take a slice of reality and misrepresent it as the whole picture, when it is convenient/beneficial for them to do so. Lying by omission is still lying.

Chesus..

Well I am glad you brought that up. Let me see, Ins for the year is 6000.00 and out of pocket is 4700.00 and the bill will be just over 10k. So I guess I ended up breaking even. So Ins cost me 10k so far this year.. Thanks BarryO.
you're forgetting that your premium used to be DOUBLE..so you are SAVING $6k.
