I want to buy some seeds

My suggestion would be to do not grow your own herb. If you are this nervous over just ordering beans online you will be showering and doing laundry every time a helicopter flies nearby or a cop car drives past your place because each time it happens you will soil yourself.

Unless you are buying a couple hundred seeds they really aren't interested. Attitude.com has the best stealth shipping and good seeds. Use voucher code 420 for a 10% discount on seeds. It is better to worry too much than not enough, but this is one of the things you don't have to worry about. Worry instead about no-one finding out, smell etc etc.

I'd suggest starting with some bag seeds until you get a few grows in (correct me if i'm wrong, i dont' know your growing history :) ) I've heard good things about Nirvana seed bank. Good luck to you!

I use amsterdam seeds. It's discreet it the utmost way. Takes about 10 days to get them. So far everyone has germinated and done well!

The problem with the exotic strain du jour is that they are overpriced and because their genetics are new and unstable, are often hard to grow and low yielding. Stay with the classics like northern lights and other old strains. Tell your friends its whatever you want.

I never agree with the use bagseed first theory.

First off herb grown to be smoked is not grow to assure viable beans, beans that are at some stage of development are just an unwanted byproduct of lower priced herb. It takes between 14 to 35 days for beans to grow and mature and become viable beans. If it was due to an unintended late pollination or in some strains an early harvest or a combination of later pollination and earlier than normal harvest and you have non-viable beans or barely viable beans that lack vigor.

The above can cause low germ rates to fewer popped beans breaking the surface to very slow growth rates to various different problems and the grower can go nuts tying to figure out what they are doing wrong and the only thing they did do wrong was to pick bagseed.

The next thing is unless you know the guy who grew the herb your bagseed came from and know he is telling you the truth if he tells you what strain it is then you end up like all the rest who almost daily ask people the same questions … I am growing from bagseed, here is a few pics, what strain is it? They don’t know what they are growing so they do not know its flowering time they do not know if it is a tall plant or a medium plant or a short plant. They do not know if it is a light feeder or a heavy feeder. Being that it is a first or second grow attempt sort of scenario unless the person did more research than the average new grower does they likely will not even know to be able to look at the leaves and nodal spacing and bud-sites and know if it is predominantly indica or predominantly sativa let alone a pure strain, which I think could be totally excluded happening in the case of a sativa.

The point is you are growing the unknown-plant. Other than the very most general most basic things you know nothing that applies and anything you are told is really nothing more than a possibly useful tip.

Then some argue why pay for "high priced" breeder genetics when you can grow "free" seeds instead? Well if someone gave you beans from their bag or you just slipped a few out then I guess the beans would be free. But if they came from a bag you already paid for or you then buy to get the seeds from regardless of you smoking the herb you still paid for those seeds. When you look at how many seeds you may get in a bag, depending on size of course, and how many you use and how many germ and how many turn out to be females and of those how many turn out to be healthy females in the end what you attribute the percentage of cost of the bag to the seeds alone that is what you paid for the number seeds you got whatever number of healthy females from.

If you pick your beans right you can find some very good values for reasonable prices. It will not be the ultimate pot in the world but it will be damn good and you will avoid all the unnecessary and avoidable problems that can go along with bagseed and that includes learning on something that is viable and reliable and doesn’t have you chasing your tail trying to figure out what you did wrong or are doing wrong when it is not you but instead the results of growing a less than 100% viable bean from bagseed.

There are more arguments to be made but I think that gives someone at least more or less the idea.

It really isn’t logical to pick bagseed over breeder genetics when you consider the pros and cons.

You said; "I've heard good things about Nirvana seed bank." Well the person said they are in the U.S. and Nirvana does not sell directly to the U.S. so the person would have to pick a seedbank that handled Nirvana strains.

Next, you may have heard good things about Nirvana but in the MANY years I have done this I have never heard any breeder and or seedbank get more complaints about them unless you pick seedbank alone and then I would say Marc Emory would come out on top in that one.

Nirvana has a total lack of quality control so one buyer gets something fantastic and then their friend decides to grow the same thing and gets some Roadside Red beans instead. You just cannot count on what you will get … or if you will get it for that fact.

I have never heard or read about so many orders not being delivered, including cases of shipping numbers that were supposed to have been given but never were so nothing could be traced but Nirvana said they shipped.

I will combine the orders that were either totally wrong, partially wrong or just incomplete because at times one did overlap with another but I have heard and read untold numbers of such accounts.

Complaints of low to terrible germ rates have been common over the years.

Complaints of misrepresented genetics or totally inaccurate descriptions of what to expect were common too.

The most frightening of all were the ones where someone really raised cane with Nirvana and Nirvana replied telling them to knock it off or Nirvana would send the person’s personal information to the person’s local law enforcement.

None of the above are singular events or even just extremely rare events. I have read the same accounts many times over the years ever since I found the first board of this site.

Considering the number of horror stories I have heard and read about Nirvana for the life of me I honestly cannot understand how they have managed to remain in business.

I had 100 percent germination rates from my sensi seeds, I would buy some of them thru Attitude. Plus they give you a tshirt, free seeds *even tho my free seeds didnt germinate, when you do stealth shipping

IMO if you are growing bagseed, you should do it to learn the basic principals of growing. Sure you might get a female here and there but in the end, you'll probably be happier if you order from a seed bank. Grow some bagseed to get comfortable with the process. You can get used to a watering schedule and/or nute use. I'm growing bagseed myself, but I'm doing it just to do because I have Northern Lights going right now too.

I have heard many good things about Attitude. I personally used buydutchseeds.com. Prices seem reasonable and shipping was low key. So far 2 out of 3 germed and I still have 7 seeds left.
