"I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation" -Ben Carson

And for what it's worth, Bugeye is right. Ben Carson said that he does NOT believe the world is only 6,000 years old
"It's just that I don't believe some of the stuff that people say is [fact]. That something came from nothing. I don't believe that. I don't believe that there could be a big bang and everything suddenly comes into perfect work all by itself," he said.

"And people say, 'Well, you believe the earth is 6,000 years old.' I didn't say I believe the earth is 6,000 years old. I do believe in the Bible though. The Bible says 'In the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth,' period. Now we don't know how long lapsed between that period and the next sentence. It could have been five years, it could have been 50 billion years. We don't know the answer to that," he continued. "But I tell you something else: God is God, and He can create the world any age He wants to. It is very arrogant for any scientist to say, just because they can't explain it, it doesn't exist."

"I don't believe the Earth is 6,000 years old, but I believe what the bible says about it!"...

That's what he believes, and just like I said in the OP, THAT makes him an idiot. We KNOW exactly how old the Earth is, give or take a few million years. We can scientifically verify it. Carson is lying to his base because everyone who eats the shit he says up knows fuck all about science.

Those that believe in God say he works in "mysterious" ways. A better cover your ass statement I've never heard.

Pada makes it sound like Carson was under pressure from the press at the time, like chuck Todd was grilling him or something.

No. Carson said what he believes to a gathering of friendly, like minded people in a non political environment.

If God did exist, he could create the universe at any age.

Yes, and what he said proves beyond a doubt that he is a faith-based believer, and actually believes specifically what the bible says.

In other words, an idiot.

Well, pretty much every candidate ever for presidency is religious so even if I don't agree with it, I can't single him out with this as a flaw for his reasoning.

Nobody likes Texas only steers and queers in Texas.

Ben Carson and everyone else who wants to impose their religious beliefs on everyone else is an idiot. And that would include you

Just received from The Man himself:

Dear Reader,

Let me say it bluntly: America was built on Judeo-Christian values.

We've become a great nation, the greatest on the planet and perhaps the greatest in history — because of these values.

The P.C. police that dominate the media are at war with our values.

Recently, I have come under intense criticism for defending those values.

I won't back down because I have no interest in being like everybody else.

I will not give away our values and principles for the sake of political correctness.

As president, I will fight for the values that made America great.

I am fighting for those of us who believe in the American Dream and the American Way.

Anybody is welcome to come to America, but they should come to live as Americans. They are not allowed to change our way of life, our freedoms, or our sacred Constitution.

I would support any person as president who believed in the Constitution and defended it.

I would never support a candidate who supported Sharia law, or any Muslim who failed to denounce Sharia law.

Sharia law is antithetical to our Constitution and our freedoms.

The P.C. crowd doesn't like to hear this.

Frankly they don't like me or my campaign.

But, this campaign is about more than me. It is about the direction this nation is heading.

We need to take a stand and fight.

You can join me in this fight. I need your help.

They know I am not backed by Wall Street or the Washington insiders. They know I stand for their values.

I truly believe that together, we may become that "shining city on a hill."

May God bless you.

Sincerely,

Ben Carson

My only thought is concerning who posted that vid.
CAIR is not a "moderate" organization, at all. Were you aware of that, Pada?

so what made you so bigoted against muslims?

congrats on getting a like from desert "yeah i joined a white supremacy group" dude and uncleben, the board's foremost racist old loser.

I wonder if you would advocate a muslim president lead a christan nation. Would he swear on the bible or the koran? Would you object to the swearing in ceremony stating the words should be change from God to Allah?

How far will you go to be politically correct and screw any American you disagree with? Seriously, tolerance only goes so far.

clearly, you are not familiar with the freedom of religion we have in this nation, bigot.

there is no requirement that the president be a certain faith, ya racist loser.

You say that, but then defend Islam every chance you get. Nobody can mention Sharia Law without you bringing up crusades from the middle ages
