Idea: Growing on a massive balloon.

Okay so I just thought about having a remote controlled & floating (blimp like) grow station. We would float it up past the clouds for optimal sun. I think the lumen level up there would be insane compared to the ground.

I think the best idea is to grow in super soil so the station will only have to hold and distribute water, which you can control right from your computer at home. All we need is some decent wireless camera(s) and some rc parts haha.

So who thinks this could actually work or is there some huge flaw? I'm just stoned and curious lol. But if this is a sweet idea I'm going for it eventually.

put some large Fins on that balloon and you'll have an airship. Grow hair on the hull and it'll be shaggy.

I like the concept of getting the plants closer to the sun. I also like the comical imagery of a floating cannabis garden... if you got caught though you could be facing obstruction of airspace! ok here are the cracks in the theory - first off it will be too damn windy. secondly, the higher up you go, the colder it gets. and if it's floating in airspace - it's not on your property any more - and its megaobvious and becomes fair game. what I think is more realistic, even though it isn't really, is to build a high-altitude greenhouse in Ecuador. think about it - high up in the andes - all that UV from being close to the equator - does it even matter which direction your garden faces down there?

Cold, lack of co2, windy, blimps are expensive, plans and birds could hit it. Sounds hilarious tho, maybe fin can watch over it get him off this earth for a couple months
