Idea on Saving Pollen

I have read up on several ways on keeping pollen viable, so I was sitting and thinking .. (:joint:) ... and I thought what if you were to catch the pollen on the end of a q-tip and vacuum sealed and froze it. Throw in a silica pack for shitsandgiggles. hmmmm??

I saved some pollen from a cross I did,its in aluminum, vacuum sealed,in the fridge.Don't know if its still viable,as its a few months old.I read that it only stays good, for a month or 2.

I'm thinking the vacuum seal might give its viability a longer duration? since it's moisture, light, and heat that decreases its chances of being viable? Just a guess
