Ideal tent size for 600w

Hi all,
I am looking into a new set up for my 600w system. Here are the spec's

600w digital ballast
Sunleaves yeildmaster 2 hood
6" inline fan and carbon filter

Was wondering what size tent you would recommend (and brand preference if any). I was leaning toward a 4x4x6.

Let me know what ya think :)

Just got Secret Jardin DR150, will let you know how she is once the package arrives :)
4'11" x 4'11" x 6'7" w/ 600w, similar setup to what your thinkin about, have you picked any fans out yet?

I am looking at a Secret Jardin DR120 II, which matches the size you are looking at. That would be perfect for your 600w light. Here is a LINK.

i run that tent with 2 600w air cooled hoods, a 450CFM Vortex Powerfan, and Lumateks and its great.
PS. all that, plus a Carbon Filter hang from the tent. (exept the ballasts)

for 1 600watter i would get a 4x4 Secret Jardin (Greners.com is a good shop) mainly because the top support beams are 1 peice instead of 2.
also, we ran a 600watter the DR150 and there was dark edges. hence why we upgraded to 2.

Ahh not bad. The local shop must be carrying the DR150 II. Explains the price difference. I'll be running a 1000W MH/HPS combo tho.

Sorry for thread jacking. To the OP....600W is recommended for a 4X4 grow area.

i got DR120 with 350 cf fan n filter n cooltube, get a little hot spot but ur fan at 450 wud do the job fine, i wud go for DR120 SIZE which is basicaly what ur lookin at and with that fan choice u will b fine with the 600 watt, as i av the 600 allso but a lil less speed on me fan, check out my grow from the size tent ur lookin at !!! 30 days into flower

Here comes another thread jack, but I was wondering do you think I could get the DR120 II and get away with using my 400w MH/HPS? I literally just bought the thing. I have a 450CFM fan and Phresh Filter...

I guess the 400 would work but you wouldnt be able to utilize the full 4X4. There wouldnt be enough canopy penetration and i dont think the footprint from the 400 would cover it correctly. Its doable though...you would have some spare room around the tent and what not.

i run 5 inch ruk fan and i can get very good negative presure in a DR120 and thatspullin through the filter first then out through the cooltube n out the tent !!!!!

I see your point. Thanks for the advice. I guess when I get the new tent I will update to a 600w. I'll just hang on to the 40ow just in case I set up 2 tents.

Is the ballast for the 400W switchable you could always run one tent with a 400W mh for veg and the other tent with a 600W hps for flower.

i'd go with the dr120 for a 600w, sounds like a perfect fit. my dr120 is on its way in the mail, and i'll be running one 400w hps. as stated above, ill probably have some space between the outer side of the plants and the tent walls, but that works for me.

That's actually a good idea. It turns out my 400w is switchable so it would make perfect sense to run my set-up like you stated. Gracias.
