nah im not reading up on it at all because honestly i just dont care to argue over the internet. if i was wrong then i apologize. i was just using the info ive been given by other growers on this site. you may be right. you may be wrong. i honestly dont care.

just because you read where someone else made a mistake doesnt mean you have to try so hard to make them look like an ass. does it make you feel big to correct me 4 times in a row?

no hard feelings man. i admit i could be wrong. but dont you think you took it a little too far? you couldnt just correct me? you had to rub it in and call me out by name?

When in soil depending on what nutes you have used plays a major role.If you took a ppm meter and read the runoff after several runs of water it should lower your ppm. What your trying to do is let the plant use up all the nutes left in your medium, whether soil are cubes and root mass.By flushing your lowering the ppm forcing the plant to use all the availible nutients left in your medium therefore reducing the amount of total nutrients left in plant matter.Does it work, well were right back to the same question depends on what you use for nutes. Now if you let the plant grow long enough to show signs of a def, like nitrogen where your fan leaves are yellowing you know that the plant has used up almost all the nitrogen,Which IMO is were most of the bad taste comes from anyway.Ive flushed my hydro in RO water for 2 weeks with a ppm of 10 and it works for sure, But i use allot of additives also. And ive just lowered my PPM the last 2 weeks and can tell the difference between the 2.

its all good.

so do you grow in soil or hydro?

youre saying that there is no need to flush because all the nutes are stored in leaves?

if its so unnecessary then why are you flushing your next grow?

hey ice i really have no idea i really dont check n e thing. i flush sometimes but not always. im growing in 50/50 perlite and cutting compost under 600watt envirolites and i never seem to have any problems, do you think the industry likes to sell us things we dont really need? all seems way to complicated for a weed

i didnt say it wouldnt burn i said it wouldnt burn right.
theres a reason that all the growers on this forum flush before harvest. just because you didnt and you cant tell a difference doesnt mean its not right bro.
Yes there is a reason & not what most people would like to admit either, its because most people go with the flo & repeat what others constantly say as fact, the main reason is so they can have something to add to a thread, then the next group come in & after a while starts repeating what they've read, much like this little guy here they just keep repeating what "they heard" as fact, like bobble head dolls.:hump:

We all are flooded daily by nonsense like this & anybody who goes against the grain is branded as not knowing anything,or not being able to tell the difference because they are not a "connaseur",what a load of shit:spew:.,im not trying to disrespect any member here but these type myths that are taken as fact by most are a direct result of marijuana prohibition because not much research is being done on any subject.

Chlorophyll is what causes harsh smoke, not micro/macro nutrients, chlorophyll is removed durring the drying/cure process, not flushing, this is not open to debate it is undisputed fact.

The problem with basing issues like flushing from common & very outdated grow book wisdom is that it does not come from real experience,it dosent allow a grower to assign tasks by their level of significance in the big picture to where it is in porportion to harvest weight, taste, cost, harvest time ect.
