If I vent straight into the ceiling/wall...

I currently have an upstairs closet grow, and to control the smell/heat I have a hole cut into the wall.. my exhaust vents into it, which I am guessing then eventually goes into my attic...

If I move downstairs and do the same thing.. where the hell is it going to go? Can't make it to the attic.. am I going to have smell leaking out all my outlets or something?

Assuming its a single family home, not a townhome/apartment, any air put into attic gets drawn out underneath eaves of house, so odor wouldnt be overwhelming.....if youre downstairs and it goes into wall/ceiling, itll end up in the house before it gets to the attic, fyi.
I'd suggest if odor is your main concern just spring for a carbon filter or get some ONA for a temp fix. If temps are the main concern I think venting into ceiling/wall would get the heat out of the grow area whether in attic or downstairs.
DO NOT be cheap when it comes to keeping your grow secure. Any money spent on securoty is well spen t.
