I think it would be very interesting to see if all patients - refuse to buy from LP's. Similar to Rosa Parks - refuse the abuse and the laws must change.
If no one buys from LP's in the first 3 month - what would happen?

It seems that being forced to buy from a supplier when you can grow your own easily and cheaper is unfair. Because the Goverment passed these unfair laws we should all boycott buying from the LP's. this will show the government that this is not the method to use for medical marijuna regulations. Also if the LP's cannot profit they will pull out of the business. Subsequently a new method would habe to be established.

In England its still illegal Period ~ smoking, possession & Growing...@ some point you have to say Fu*k The politicians and THEIR Dumbass Laws and just do, go about your business and don't attract unwanted attention... Didn't one of the US Presidents say If a Law is unjust a man is not only right, but obligated to do so? something along those lines I think.....Baked..

I agree completely with your first sentence, but the rest...dont you think putting the politicians out of business would be more effective than LP's?

So far 5 people I know have all agreed to never buy from any LP, we never bought from Health Canada but grew our own medicine. I know my strains that work for me and I know no LP will grow what I want because the yield is very very low. Canada what are we doing? Are we now even less forward thinking then the USA?

If people hadn't been scamming/gaming the original medical marijuana system we had here in Canada, the new system wouldn't have gotten introduced! Not really sure what people expected to happen...*sigh*

I suspect the shit would hit the fan with respect to the players that have sunk millions into their operation. See, this is where the doctors supporting this thing is critical. There's going to be all this crappy weed floating around ( peace naturals trying to sell their lower grade shit because they don't have any high test left) and no one to buy it. This is why doctors aren't running to sign patients up. I am very curious as to how many people have actually signed up. If the majority of MMAR patients grew for themselves, doesn't logic dictate that those are the people who are protesting the most and most likely will not sign up with a LP? As I've said before - no financial assistance with purchasing from within the new system or no participation at all. It really is black and white for me.

YES! Thank you. I read these message boards a lot, and the people screaming the loudest about how unfair the MMPR is are very often the same ones who have been openly bragging about milking the system for their own personal financial game.

I disagree redi; we are left with a couple of options.The first is to continue to fight politically for change, an election is coming and one leader (Trudeau) already has skin in the game. The second is a complete boycott of LP's which serves 2 purposes. It sends a message to the government that the MMPR is cost prohibitive and will not work for the majority of patients, proving the point we are already making. The second, and more effective, result of a long boycott would be the failing of the LP's which would allow home grows again. I feel sorry for the people that have invested large sums to become an LP, but not sorry enough that I'm going to accept living(and dying) in pain so they can make a buck.
