Waiting for the next available appointment for my pilgrimage. The Olympic swimming pool volume of liquids leading up is mind boggling. ‘An ounce of prevention…’ gentlemen.

Just had my colonoscopy today, wasnt bad. Already had a couple friends check out do to this almost wholly preventable from of cancer.

If you havent been checked please do so, its really not that bad and you just might thank yourself later.
You had one too? Now I know two people who had it on the same day, we should start a club. How much do you remember? I caught parts of the process on the big screen, but mostly don't remember it until I felt them uncork me. That kind of woke me up.

PSA get yourself a bidet, makes the process so much cleaner.

Yes, the bidet was a godsend. I dont remember anything at all. Got into the room closed my eyes and that was it. Truly not that big of a deal, glad I finally got it knocked of the list.

Smoking weed the day before is great.....................................if you like torture. For extra torture put a chocolate cake in the fridge and keep telling yourself that it will all be over soon :eyesmoke:

I worked with a guy for years that said no one was shoving anything up his a$$. He retired and within a couple years he died. Colon cancer. Don't be that guy!
My first colonoscopy ever caught a large precancerous growth and the doc said have it out within 3 weeks. The surgeon ended up removing a foot of my large intestine to insure it was completely removed. People called me semi-colon for a while. I now have to go every 3 years. Like mentioned above, the prep and not being able to eat is the worst part.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Colon cancer is a serious issue, and early detection is key. It's great that you're raising awareness about this important health screening.

Getting a colonoscopy can feel daunting for some people, but it's truly a preventative measure that can save lives. Two of your friends getting checked is fantastic! The more people who know about this option, the better.
