guys I'd be really be grateful for your advice.
I have a small space to work with (1.6m high x 1.2 deep x 2m wide) in a shed.
On previous advice i was planning on building my room out of foam board.
was gonna go HID lamps, but then i'd have to cool the space, and it would limit my crop in height due to keeping the light far enough away.
led is a solution, but from limited research i've been told that the right type of light is full spectrum white light, with the right lenses? and angle of? and the recommended brands are expensive.
I'd heard of the DIY thread. I'd be stoked if that could save me some money i have a close friend who is an electrician and could help me assemble the right components etc with the right plans and wiring, all i'd need is a schematic and a shopping list.
alternatively if you guys have an opinion on a vegeing, flowering or combined panels, that are reasonably priced and effective, I would be ETERNALLY grateful.
P.S. I work crazy shifts, and with kids, I'd really appreciate it if you flagged any responses so i could get to them later, I get lost in this awesome forum.
P.S.S. On reflection, unless there is a standardised tried and tested DIY LED setup out there I think opinions on a panel that can compare with the power of a 600w HID, with the versatility of flowering and veging ideally, (my current solution for seed to transplant and main chamber is a T5 panel, so 600w HID in main chamber for completing veging then flowering, and the T5 in the smaller seedling/cloning/baby vege stage). I can only really bug my electrician mate a few times, so if it's DIY it has to be seriously advantageous and reliable.
thank you so much guys.
