What about the UFO LEDs? somebody on another thread suggested one, when I checked the specs, it covers 25 sq ft or 4 plants. Is this right? and also, would it be enough really for at least 2 plants?
Hi RP. No way you could flower 4 plants with a standard commercial UFO, or 2 really. From what I've seen most UFOs suck but if you add extra lights you can build a pretty good grow space for 2 plants. LST/Super Crop them to keep the canopy low and even, plus it will help give you a good long veg time which you'll need if you want to pull some weight off of your plants. UFOs aren't really a good idea, you'd be better off looking at what CaptainMorgan is doing with his CREE bulbs IMO. Plus ya can't go wrong with a 10 year warranty .What about the UFO LEDs? somebody on another thread suggested one, when I checked the specs, it covers 25 sq ft or 4 plants. Well fathat we're all a little A51 biased around here but 2 A51 would be killer in my book and gives you quite a bit more flexibility than a single 800w. I've never owned panels from either of those companies but both of those panels can get a bit hot by the end of the day without good circulation in your grow tent. You do what you want but I'd wait a few more weeks for bonsaihero's (hans) latest panel which may run a bit cooler and 4 of his in a 4x4 could give great results for the electricity used. Plus at that time all the majors players we like around here will have their latest offerings available. Not that it makes choosing easier . Good Luck and Happy Growing.4x4 tent, what would be the better option? 1 800w solar storm or 2 Area 51? Thanks
Thanks for the advice, I wish I could wait but one of my 500w black stars took a shit, and I need something in place before I start flowering in about two and a half weeks. Cooling won't be an issue, as I have a 6" ac line running in and a 440 cfm exhaust out. I really would like an American made one, the price difference between the two isn't that big of a concern, I just want the best results.Well fathat we're all a little A51 biased around here but 2 A51 would be killer in my book and gives you quite a bit more flexibility than a single 800w. Hi , Sunbiz .You had better check the Apache LED . Apache Tech LED Grow... 8x12...1900wUSA made product . You don't need to ship the product you bought to China .Hi all,
This seems a perfect thread for the following question:
I will be supplementing 900 *actual watts of existing mixed spectrum CFL's(2700Kand 6500K). These are spread out over 22 bulbs, and I have plenty of room to add. I need more than 1 unit to cover the growing area, but have not a clue what to choose.

Something like this size would be perfect, only I'd buy like 8 or 10.
Is that a good brand, and if not would love to hear any suggestions.
TY in advance for any assistance.
Peace!

That ^^^^ still amazes me at his success with those led bulbs from HD............No dedicated red at all other than 730nm flower initiator ???
I wouldn't really put too much faith in those. Look at something like these if you want something with dramatic results.Hi all,

I have been doing some homework on the subject, and my hesitation with using LED's is related to UV output. These lights have been developed for general growing usage, while cannabis in flower requires a fair amount of UV spectrum for proper terpene development. Or am I missing something?I wouldn't really put too much faith in those. Look at something like these if you want something with dramatic results.
These are more expensive but probably run at the spectrum advertised compared to the cheap stuff.

There are some dealers on Ebay that sell arrays like these, they work pretty well and are pretty easy to work with.

Hope this helps. The cheap stuff just never cuts it.
