@Will Thayer did you ever figure out a UK Citizen solution?
The lower price isn't the problem, being sort of crap is. But Vero and Cree are your beaten paths. Vero isn't worth buying, and Cree costs a bit more and is much, much better.
Also, don't spend £44 when you can order them for like £30 from AU/US DIY sources. £27 at Cutter in Australia? Surely you don't always get taxed...
I think the UK can get Citizens easily, which is great but more explaining than I am going to do.
Check out cutter, pacific light concepts, and timber lights. They sell whole kits for around $400usd, or individual stuff is in stock at PLC...actually lets add those up. Yeah PLC is very cheap, $300 for heatsink, cobs, and driver. No idea about international shipping.
