the only thing i get out of this is.........

if you go china made, then you may have to replace in a yr VS name brand, they make a new model every yr,so you will update every yr VS DIY best bang for the money, and maybe the best way, cause you will know what you are putting in your DIY light.

Hi guys. First timer here. I want to try Led lights and have come here for some advice. I have a 4x4x7 tent and want full coverage. There is a lot of info out there and my brain is fried. Lol.
This light seems like it would do the trick but the cost is blowing my mind. ($1600.00) http://www.blackdogled.com/BD700-U.html
Also was looking at this. it's a little cheaper looking at the ds xml 350 ($1,000)

http://www.advancedledlights.com/3w-led-grow-lights/new-diamond-series-xml-10w-cree-xml/
Anyone here have either of these? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No I am not giving names as this could violate forum rules. All I am going to state is if you look closely the information is there. I am not trying to be offensive but you seem to be a person where I would have to rip your heart out of your chest and show it to you before you keeled over to believe that you even had one. Like I stated I am finished responding to such nonsense. You have your opinion and have a right to that opinion. My concern is to share my experience to those who are considering LED as an alternative to having a mini- sun in their house with all of the additional cost of keeping it cool. You can't beat the sun when it comes to cost. I have done all three and I still use good old CFL's as part of my lighting... My concern is to provide quality medication to my patient that is it. If it weren't for the "rippers" I would be outdoors utilizing the best light source there is the Sun.

well with all the bulsshit that the LED industry is filled with why would anyone believe to pics of the same circuit board... you claim they are from different panels but wont say which ones or even post pics with the two panels open with these boards so I am definitely calling you out on this BS claim until you grow some balls and prove it. Until then you may fool some of the people but not all of them.

Good to see moneky is fading away after not being able to back up his claim that A51 are the same as chinese panels

Do I detect a note of sarcasm?
Possibly... this girl mj im talking to right now can make me a slightly sarcastic dick... BUT ITS SO FUNNY!

ahem... enough of that.

So what you are saying is you only recommend true 100 pecent "white" light full spectrum leds. Alright. Would supplementing a fixture with a few crees in the white ranges help keep the plants healthy?

I will look into the two that you mentioned. Have you heard anything about the KIND Led systems? they look promising.

As an FYI, im looking at buying bulk units here (aprox 20 units for 4x4 each), so every little price discount I can find is important, but still need top quality and substantial yield.

Finally, I know there isnt alot of true mmj research out there, but do you know anywhere you could point me (with reputable sources) where I can confirm that spectrum information? Maybe like a Danny Danko or Ed Rosenthol type of figure weighing in on the subject? I know they prob wont endorse lights, but It will give me what too look for. Currently Iv been looking for a light with the best overal Par "tables" (little line graphs on all the websights) and anything with far reds (700-750nm) and the 640-660 band as these are SUPPOSEDLY the most beneficial to flowering and im running a sog setup.

Thanks again guys. Appologize as my wake n bake sesh probably made this post more confusing and conveluded than it had to be:blsmoke:

Thank you Miley T for reminding us what this thread is for and that this "conversation" should be moved to "LED Users Unite!". Sadly I have no answer for your question since I'm not familiar with those panels. Maybe someone else?
Haha thanks FJ. Ive gone to other forrums, but RIU has the most information hands down... Problem is, finding it.

I will give you some advice from what I have read as i havent owned any of these panels.... Kind are meant to be quite unreliable and the others Im not sure of.. dont actually know them.

LG light solutions I have seen a few grows including one on here that seems to be OK....havea look for the thread and message the grower perhaps...

but pleae dont worry about the attention whoring... it has a limited lifespan and there are plenty of guys on here with great knowledge
Oh i know theres more here than anyone. A few people here have already been more than helpful in getting the kinks worked out of a pretty ambitious MMJ op i got planned. Just had to get my asshole comments out for the day lol.

Know of any posts/people/journals using KINDS, or of anyone whose had reliability issues?

Also, is there a more effective way of finding grow journals on here than just clicking "most popular" or "most recently updated."

PS. Mods- Not trying to step on toes, but some new mod generated stickies with limited posting and consolidated information would be GREAT! I know its work, but it literally takes weeks to read through some of these 500-600 page threads. I want to read from the beginning to get it all, but i want the most relivant up to date info, not the shit from 07 lol

Sorry, stoner ramble. Its 420 somewhere.. (or 4:27):peace::joint:

I've been convinced that a51 is a great led panel. I'm using a 2x4 tray. Is the xgs 190 a better light than 2 rw75s? The rw75. Is that a flower only light? Do they use 3W crees?

what would be my best option for an led light i dont really wanna spend more then 100 bux i got a hps for flower now i just need sometin good for veg

In Large/Commercial operations I would shy away from active cooled panels IMO

http://www.illumitex.com/illumitex-neosol-led-vs-hps/ either the neosol 300w or 520w, covers a large area(for an led) per panel. Dust and waterproof with NO FANS to push moisture into the housing. The dimming feature on the 520 is a nice option. NOT CHEAP though

good luck

I would choose the Advanced LED light because it is made of good quality parts that they list in the description.
BlackDog, while effective in the short run, tends to have problems, due to the diodes being over driven (this is not something you want).
They also use unspecified parts in their lights, again, not something you want.
You may want to look into Area 51, as well, they've worked wonderfully for me.
Good luck :)

A joke? Perhaps you're high. Perhaps you have poor reading comprehension and deductive reasoning skills. Did you read my post, or only glance through it in search of your precious specific light query?

HINT: Compare what led choices the 2 lights you asked about come with, against what i wrote. The answer is right in front of your nose

I'm not here to hold your hand

Is that a joke? I can't see post count. Can you link it?found it. You don't mention either light I posted about...lol

1. I explained my rational why.

2. I am not going to interrupt my grow just to satisfy you by tearing my lights a part. My patient is of more concern to me than someone on some forum demanding proof.

3. It is obvious you know nothing of manufacturing marks and coding.

4. Like I said I am done with this conversation. You asked for proof I gave it to you, If you like I can rip out your heart and show it to you before you fall over dead.....

So shopping around all the LED bullshit is getting to me, found a couple ones that seem legit but wanted some experienced opinion, these are the two I've found that I have weeded out, but any other suggestions are welcome as long as you know what you're talking about: http://eastcoasthydro.us/collections/led-light-systems/products/diamond-series-led-grow-lights-150w-1200w (looking at the 300w)
http://www.hydrogrowled.com/126X-PRO---200W-LED-Grow-Light-P85C60.aspx (a lot more expensive).
But then I also stumbled upon these on ebay but seems to good to be true for the price, http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-10-Band-Full-Spectrum-300w-LED-Grow-Light-Indoor-Hydroponic-Veg-Flowering-/171258284997?pt=US_Hydroponics&hash=item27dfca0bc5.

And what is anyones thoughts on 3w bulbs or 5w? I read somewhere 3w is better

It pains me to say this since I bought an XGS190 just a few months ago, but I think two of the smaller new panels would be more effective. Just my 2 cents...

One thing I've noticed, even in a grow space coated with mylar, is the intensity appears to drop off quickly once you get outside the panel's dimensions. I'm a newbie, so grain of salt, but if I had it to do over again I'd get two smaller panels instead of one bigger.

im reading the message board through my phone and didn't see post counts. I thought you were just joking. No need to be cunty About it.
And no sorry I didnt understand what you were talking about in your post. That's why I'm on this board. So I can get information regarding the lights in question. If you don't have info don't bother.

that is exactly my thought. does the rw75 use 5w crees?
