We are Canadian my brother and i are doing an led bar/panel test i had custom made.Hello Rollitup,
so i'm convinced LEDS are the hottest thing since sliced bread and want to get on board. I run a small microgreens business and I'm looking to convert my recent growroom into a full fledge LED Grow. I have 192 feet (58.5 meters) of shelving that needs lighting. I was initially going to use 4 foot fluorescent 2 lamp fixtures.
Each shelf is 8' foot long, 18" inches wide and 14" inches tall. Each unit is made of 4 such shelves.
I've searched and only found a few posts on using LEDs for microgreens but didnt find anything conclusive, that or im slow and missed some pertinent information.
LED strip lighting seem ideal for my application. COBS would be great but my hight restriction prevents me from using them. I was thinking of replicating the Philips Green Power LED production model strip lights.
What would be the best bang for the buck cost/lumen out put? I don't need super high components, but somewhere around 80% of the best.
I'm from Canada so, Canadian distributors would be a boon considering how shiet the Canadian dollar is to the American.
Thanks!
