If you happen to see - Dollar Store Mylar Blankets/Sheets

If anyone comes across some of that shiny Mylar type blankets/sheets in Southwestern Michigan, please let me know what store(s). Some people are saying that they find it in the dollar store or cheap at other places here on RIU. I think I might have a project for that shiny inexpensive material. I already have some of the Panda plastic, but the shiny reflective material would work better for my project. Thanks

Look for first aid blankets in first aid kits. These blankets can some times be purchased individually. I hooked my buddy up with one and he's been using it for over a year now for his small grow.

Any way that is what your looking for, cheap first aid kits. With blankets. They usually come with cold packs and medication, etc etc.

Thank you Medical Grade - I could not think of the correct name, but that is exactly what I'm looking to find. Oh, so they come as a package deal, that's good to know. Now I have a better idea of what to look for, first aid kits.

Buy space blankets at an outdoor store for cheap milar and you don't have to pay extra for the first aid kit. They are 3-5 dollars usually.

Thanks PointsWest for another place to look. I would not have thought to look for space blankets. I am being steered in the right directions, I should be able to expand my search with this info.

the space blankets are great. I think just about any sports store will have them. Since wall marts are everywhere you should be able to find them.

Thanks Stumps, you think WalMart might have them? I'll look in the sports department as well as check out the Sporting Goods stores. All this help is great.

Most sporting good stores or army stores or other camping related business will carry these. I buy mine at the local army store for about $3.

Thanks again PointsWest - The local army store, I have some good places to check out. I can't give you any more +reps at this time, but thank you very much.

I used up my quota for the day of +reps. I'll take care of everyone else that responded to my request as soon as the system allows. Thank you all for your help, I had no idea of where to look.

Many grow stores sell entire rolls of mylar. You dont wanna use the blankets because the crinkles just f' up the light and make random hot spots. You are better off with white paint, if you don't get good flat mylar.

Thanks JankedyJoe - I already have a roll of mylar/panda material, I am looking for the blankets for another project of mine.

If you just need small sheets you can go to the auto store, buy one of these and cut your panels. Cost ya $10! I've used these for two projects and they not only reflect but insulate too!
Thanks BigBud88 - I also have reflection insulation, but I am looking for the blankets for an experiment I want to try with them.

The blankets are not for my grow room, so far I have what I need there. I will keep your suggestions in mind.

Those are 2 different things.

FYI: Your bold/font/color is annoying, to say the least.
My intentions are not to annoy but to make it easier on myself. Certain lighting and colors are easier on my eyes and for me to read. Hopefully, my future posts will be in places where you won't have to read them, and if they are please ignore. You "see" Sir I have glaucoma.
