As for your device keeping spider mites and other bugs out, it does appear to be working for you, however from a science point of view it's very weak. Maybe it's just not your time yet, but it will come again. It would be great if it did work but mites are very, very hard to kill in most cases.
When you smoke buds that have spider mites they kind of make a popping/crackling sound.
