so i have and old semi shitty enV phone.

i found a verizon phone, it has a touch screen i think its a voyager, at the local park just laying in the bushes.

it has a battery in it i just have to get a charger and im wonder if i can just take out my sim card and put it in the new phone and have the new phone work just like my old one.

but my concern is what if its on the national list of lost and stolen phones could i get in trouble somehow? or would it not matter since its my sim card??

verizon wireless doesn't use sim cards... it's probably not going to work because the serial number for that phone is already registered to another verizon account... you should call some numbers in it and try to give it back to who lost it, good karma

Verizon does not use GSM. They use CDMA so you do not have a sim card.

All you need to do is go online to vzw.com, sign in, then click on "my verizon" then click "my services" and lastly "my phone".

Then you have the option to add a new line, suspend service or activate phone.

Click on the activate phone and follow the instructions.

Simple and easy dude.

As I said before, most likely it would just tell you that you cannot activate this phone and must call a number. You wouldn't get into trouble unless its some sort of secret government phone with all 600 CIA undercover operatives photos on there and shit.

i just think this is karmas way of helping me as i had my previous phone robbed at gun point from me nd sufferd sum ptsd fer a lil wile. i mean evrything flows to be equal in the end.

also cuz of of my marijuana paranoia i popped out the battery to be safe on the gps situation or if they try to triangulate it (lol pineapple express)

Unless the previous owner de-activated the phone it's worthless to you. Even if they did, I'm pretty sure you'll only be able to use it with verizon.

So you found a phone and want to keep it for yourself. And you justify it by saying karma is on your side.

Not returning a phone when you have the perfect oppurtunity to do so is not karmas way of helping you out. If anything, karma is testing you to see what you do. And you failed. Its not your phone, give it back.

And btw, karma is an eastern religious practice that pretty much says if you're good, you will be reincarnated into a cow. mmmoooooo
