So keeping the canopy about 10 ° - 15 ° warmer than at ground level does what exactly?came home for lunch
ever ride a bike and get a sunburn because the wind made it so you didn't feel the sun?
ever notice that if is 80 degrees outside it feels hotter if there is no shade?
ever compared the temp between shade and direct sunlight?
this natural relationship is the most misunderstood tool in our arsenal. Plants are little machines when everything is dialed in properly (everything includes ALL elements) Plants want heat, they want the canopy to be higher (temp) than ambient, a 12 to 15 degree difference is ideal (and very hard to get in a sealed tent or room) In my room I keep the ambient between 74 and 78 degrees, I keep my canopy between 89 and 92 degrees, You can not do this with a cool tube !!! Not to mention that the photons from your light are passing thru glass before they get the plant, some of which is degraded, some never gets thru (a light meter would show you this)
If you go to http://growhappyplants.com/ and look at all the pics (on several pages) you can see my canopy temp/humidity are at 91 degrees with 42% humidity (gotta look close) you also see that I have T5's over 2 feet away from the top of the canopy. This area is in a 500 sq ft room that is completely open !!! which is why the ambient is only 78 degrees, the only place the room gets hot is under the lights at the canopy. Temp measured down by the pots is 78 degrees (same as ambient) which translates in to root zone temps (which are just as important)
Most simply do not understand these relationships, Hell I took a 50 watt LED light and made it grow just as much as 2 400 watt CMH's and the LED was 5 feet above the canopy (yes I have pics) Folks can bash the stuff I say all they want to but I'll continue to stand on, the truth is always the truth

Well I know there are logical thinking people here, and I know every one wants to grow the best herb possible!
I know saying I only grow one hit wonders is a bold statement and that fires up the ol BS meters but I have the luxury of having had several people sample my buds and grow my strains and then write smoke reports online that back up my claim.
When Illumination (RIP Brother) came for a visit he posted that he got higher than he had ever been after smoking my buds and he was a rock star (played bass in an 80's hair band) with access to the best
The last person that visited, stayed about 2 hours, we had a nice talk, shared a J of my Namaste (so 1/2 J each) then took 2 hits of my Holy Diver and though he only lived 10 minutes away, when he left he forgot where he was and drove aimlessly before he realized it, all documented by him in a smoke report.
To me, the logical notion here is this guy must be doing something right, perhaps we should listen? and yet there are still those folks that cry I'm spreading BS and crap.
In the end it is up to everyone to decide for themselves and I ask if your following the mythical nonsense spread all over these forums How's that workin for ya?

yeah we have hydro and micro and organic and outdoors.
We have a hydro guy that does side by sides DynaGro FP vs Canna nutes like AN and such DynaGro always wins LOL
we have a guy that cuts all the leaves off and grows sticks under a vertical HPS
I don't care about how anybody grows, hell you can piss on em if you want The thing I care about is the truth, if ya wanna flush your plants at the end by all means do so, it's your plant, but don't tell people your flushing out the nutes, cause you can't ! Don't tell folks your plant is suckin up lots of P cause it don't ! If ya wanna cram light up your plants ass and get em as close as you can, go for it, but don't tell folks it's a good thing cause it's not!
hell the list goes on and on, I break every forum rule there is and grow dank, huge cola's. I have T5's 2 to 3 feet above the canopy, I use non-canna/regular garden chem nutes, I never use bloom nutes, I never flush at the end, I don't hang dry my buds etc etc etc
Any one can post and say my post or info is BS or crap but every single person that has tried what I say has thanked me and not ever looked back, it is what it is and like some have said, why do I bother? good question some days, in the end I think it is mostly my love for the plant that keeps me going.
