I want to buy a herbal infuser, to make my own butter! I’ve tried making weed butter for brownies a few times and doesn’t turn out great and I wasted a bunch of good flower!

What is everyone looking forward to the most? Edibles, flower, pre-rolls?
Mainly edibles, and mostly because the dosing will be uniform and predictable. I've made edibles for myself many times (I used to get super cheap shake from a guy), but every batch was different. Sometimes weak, other times super trippy. o_O

But really for me, whether it's smokable, vapable, edible, or whatever, it's going to be all about the uniformity of dosing, and specificity of strains. I've come to distrust the descriptions of street weed. Not just the potency, but whether it's really an indica, sativa, what percentage of which in hybrids, etc. I don't think there's any malice involved, but I've come to realize that I simply can't always trust the descriptions assigned to street weed. There's no regulation, and no incentive to be 100% accurate. I have no problem getting good quality weed now, but knowing about those specifics is impossible without having them regulated.

I have more than one qualifying condition (and also treat another currently non-qualifying condition), and each of them benefits from different strains, strengths, and doses. I want to be able to know EXACTLY what I'm getting so I can treat my conditions efficiently.

Vaping flowers and trying to vape shake. Finally get to use the vaporizers I bought before signing up thinking no background checks would speed it up and provisional would happen sooner.
If vaping shake gives me a headache like smoking it would I'll be making edibles or RSO.
I'm going to buy a chocolate and probably a tincture but I'm really leery of anything by mouth right now with my lack of tolerance. I know I can deal with inhaling the plant matter.

I do eventually have to get up to edibles if I want to give it a fair shake at treating Crohn's. But if vaping helps the migraines I'll be happy enough.

the only thing I read about provisional registration was in "Definitions" , looks like its all about Dispensary Rules ???
I saw the IDPH rules should come out Friday to Monday.

Can you cook with RSO? I’ve read some people say yes, and am wondering would that suffice instead of making my own weed butter

It's interesting it seems they no one from mid September are getting updated or approved and they wonder why the black market is thriving. Seems like a scam they take your money then eventually they will send a card at their own leisure. At least local weed dealers aren't as shadey as idph.

These rules actually do a lot, namely they set the rules to allow a provisional patient to use a dispensary, the duties of a dispensary with respect to provisional patients, etc. They are also effective on 12/3/2018, so dispensaries are now open for business to provisional patients. IDPH may still come out with additional rules on actually issuing the provisional registration, how they will handle paper applicants, etc, but in my opinion these rules were the real regulatory hurdle. And probably had to be in place first.

I been making my own edibles a long time and had dispensary edibles from a friend. My take on that is there stuff is tasty and cool but the caps I make are a lot more powerful. I was ultimately looking forward to concentrates but recently bought a 500 dollar rosin press and that kinda knocked the excitement back as I can get really dank flower already. Lol.. anyways if I had to say what I'm most excited about would have to be being legal. Lol!! Well that and being able to press multiple different strains of flower for rosin. Maybe distillate and I want to try the THCA cristiline as well.

On the note of being legal I was able to get through this morning to idph and talk to someone. The lady said that I've been approved and have been sent out for printing! If I don't receive the card within 14 days she said I should call back.

As far as I know you can. It's supposed to be a good way of making measurable edibles at home. Seems like as cost effective as any other way.
I don't really know edibles other than what's out there on the internet. In my day we didn't even know what decarbing was. I bet some of those ditch weed brownies could've worked better.

I just want to try vaping shake because if it works it would be a real money saver.

In particular, authorization to sell to provisional registrants is in Sec 1290.430, starting at the bottom of page 72 of the PDF.
