Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Ok so im curious.... I do not want to call the state as im just going to wait it out but do you think if I called the doctors office they would have any info... Its a cannabis friendly office... they just told me to call the when I get my card but Im getting anxious. Wonder if anyone know if the doctors can find out about your status.... Sent 3/15

I don't believe the Dr. Office could help with finding out your status. I'm right with you on our timeline... application received 3/13. I have seen one post on Facebook for someone's application was received on 3/12 just received theirs. I'm really hoping to get mine tomorrow.

It’s officially been a week since “your card is at the printer”. This is the worst stage because there’s no one to call or email for status updates. It’s just checking the mail everyday with your fingers crossed.

What I find a little odd is there are some folks who submitted later than me and they already have their cards. Mine was March 2nd. I have a feeling it’s gonna end up coming on June 2nd.

Day 84 & counting. And researching strains.

I feel your pain! I applied March 8th and nothing yet, but a lot of people from the week after that have gotten their cards already. The last bit of the wait is the toughest, we have to be close right!?

God I hope so. I don’t understand why later submissions have gotten their card already. You’d think if a 3/7 app already has their card, why is a 3/2 sitting at the printer? It’s just agonizing...I want to go shopping!

My guess, having worked on applications for a pilot program years ago, is that each employee assessing applications has a range of the alphabet for which s/he is responsible. It’s likely a week or so’s applications are alphabetized and divied up, so it ends up being approximately in order of date rather than strictly.

I didn’t even think about that. The caseworkers at the DHS office do it that way, so that makes a lot of sense. Still...I wanna go shopping! :eyesmoke:

Felony Damage to School Property
Felony Possession and Use of Firearm W/O FOID
Criminal Tresspass to Vehicles
Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon on Person
Unlawful Use of Weapond by Convicted Felons
Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Officers

Those are just some of the charges that exist for him. There's probably more, but that's just for lombard and addison. Who knows where else they've been convicted.

These people are actual known criminals.

jena, what does the shop owners breaking the law have to do with us getting our cards. Most of us could care less about that. Sorry for your problems, move on please.

They stole her money and that of several other applicants, according to the first image. I see at as a reasonable post, though admittedly not under the wait time thread.
Some of us, like me, are completely without any medication while we wait for our cards. We’re not all in tip-top shape, so some posts might veer a little off topic...

Question:

I’ve seen at least one person whose app was received the week of March 19 get their card already. Anyone else?

Has anyone called in when they think their application might be approved and sent to the printer? That would indicate 10 days before receiving their card in the mail, right?

Well, not in today’s mail so now I have to wait two more days for my next shot. :wall:

To anyone who has already received their card, when in that 10-14 days did you get yours? The next business day for me, Tuesday, will be 6. If I have to wait the full 14 days, that takes me to June 8th. Geez, when I put that in writing it makes it sound eons from now.

Can you please remind us of your timeline? When did IDPH receive your application? When we’re you approved?

yman it seems it took eight days, from the time at the printer, <from someones previous post. worst case scenario, they have a lazy day on tuesday and print it wednesday. slow mail and it would arrive on Saturday. Check your local dispensary's strains again and double check the ones you want. Patience my friend. Don't know if youre a Sudoku fan, but those help pass the time, Good luck man.
