I went in with kind of an idea of what I wanted. I had done some research online and I knew of certain strains I wanted to get. Midwest Compassion Center is UNBELIEVABLE GUYS. Highly recommend them. I still may switch temporarily to The Dispensary Fulton and make the 2 hour trip there just because their ounces are so cheap and they have incredible deals. But anyhoo, onto my 1st shopping trip.
I went into it wanting a little bit of everything. I wanted to try some edibles and get at least 1 sativa, 1 indica, and 1 hybrid. I also wanted to try to get any afghan strain, and definitely bio-jesus (I've heard so many good things). MCC hooked me up with some awesome goodies and freebies!

Here's what I got FREE!!!!

-(1) 500mg CBD 1:1 Harlequin CO2 Cart (Excited to try. Budtender told me I should look into 1:1's. Do you guys know anything about them, I'm clueless)
-(4) 1.0g Cresco Cookies Pre-Rolled Joints (Very nicely rolled. They have to use a machine or something to make them so perfect)

-1/8 Gelato Hybrid (Beautiful bud and hits are kinda smooth)
-1/8 Tangie Sativa (shocked me how much it smelled like oranges, very energizing, cleared my head)
-1/8 Bio-Jesus (I've heard so many good things about this strain and my budtender highly recommended it. She said many patients use it nightly for sleep. I have terrible insomnia so I'm excited)
-1/8 DJ Short Flo (I wanted something Afghan and this is Purple Thai + Afghan, I'm excited to try)
-1.0g Berry White Snap n' Pull
-1.0g Northern Lights Snap n' Pull (Both of these extracts were a part of a bundle and are phenomenal)
-1/8 Lemon Tag (Haven't tried yet)
-(5) 20mg Cannapillars
-(4) 27.88mg Fudge Chocolates (I've taken a half of 1 so far and I think I'm going to take another half in a few minutes. Very delicious)

My boyfriend also bought some fun goodies at the smoke shop today. He bought a sweet ass octopus bong/dab rig and the evolve yogan plus pen. Haven't tried the pen yet but I'll let you guys know what I think. It's still charging.

I'm trying to not drive myself crazy with the wait given that my application was just received 6/6/2018 but I was able to calculate out a wait time for myself based on purpleflower's time (thank you for being such an active poster!)

I reached out to IDPH to make sure my application has been received and yesterday they confirmed it was - purpleflower took about 87 days to receive their card so given that I'm thinking my timeline will be around 9/9/2018 (or hopefully a few days earlier since I calculated my timeline based on when they confirmed they had my application yesterday 6/14 and not when it was actually received on the 6th according to IEC). Definitely have a good wait on my hands but it's nice to not stress about it so much now.

I just wanted to thank everyone on here for the knowledge and insight. I am someone who’s new here (just submitted everything on 6.5 after the Dr. appt) so I’m trying not to go nuts. I know October seems so far off but I just wanted to ask if someone from IDPH will email or call when the application is approved / received? I wasn’t sure if someone would reach out although I know it’ll be some time. Thank you everyone as I have read all the posts. The knowledge is much appreciated.
