not going to be by email , will be snail mail. anything official will be snail mail.
They actually should be an electronic download or email like the receipt or the cover page. Why bother signing up with an email and confirming the email if they're afraid to use it for anything?
Otherwise they'll find more ways to delay people getting access, if not with the new administration the next administration.

But you're right and I said it before, we'll probably get a letter by snail mail to tell us to download the provisional access letter.

I don’t think that may be true. I called today and they said I was approved, but said I was approved on 12/10. And said it will be 10-14 days from 12/10...not today when I called.
Today is 12/10 :bigjoint:

anything official , from the government is snail mail. would be nice if there was just a print out / download for your phone / etc. like an easy-pay , only your cannabis card on your phone ...that would rock !

Friend got on social security disability, got letters trying to get him mmj. I don't know if they're random to everyone who signed up or targeted to those who would qualify (violation of HIPAA). He would qualify and the surgery at the time he got it was the qualifying condition.

And I used to get sales catalogs for Jeep stuff when I had a Jeep. Obviously coming from my vehicle registration.

I bought a Samsung t.v. , hung it on the bedroom wall. was funny when I would have conversations with wife , I would get related advertisements on computer ie; " we need a new Garden Hose " garden hose advertisements on pc ," I am going to buy a new Ladder this week " Ladder advertisements.....then later found out from the Nightly News what Samsung had done ….collecting information , America and The Worlds Newest Hobby

Bingo! I don't think they could be slowed down any further. They obviously have no problem not answering the phone.

If they didn't want to be called they would give updates. They have my email address. They have websites they could say what day they're working on.

And if they really didn't want to be called the provisional access letters would be going out by email already.

TrailblazerTony said, way back, that based on the dates given to him on the phone by the IDPH folks, his card arrived 3 days after approval. That's the earliest I have seen reported in this thread

Thank You Approved Friday Card arrived Wednesday at 10 am, not even 3 Full Business days, if not for the weekend, Could have gotten Faster. Maybe they felt bad about not Contacting me for 100 days, and Rush Delivered, LoL

Day 89 still no fucking card in informed delivery. I literally have no patience and I know it's not gonna be here tomorrow because that's just how illinois fucking works

Hang in There, I was feeling Exactly like you for days 80 to 100, then Finally Called. I was so Stupid, I should have called at day 60. Try not to torture yourself, the last 2 weeks will seem like 2 years. The Best way I can Describe it is, think of How Long you have waited for this to Even be Possible in Illinois, 5 Decades? It helps to put it all in Perspective, but The lack of Available Info from the State is a Total Embarrassment, but again, remember where we live.

This makes me wonder - does anyone here have any experience with getting a medical card in any other state? I'm curious if the application to card-in-hand timeline is better, worse, or the same?

Word to the wise - Make sure when you get your card to call the dispensary before you go. I got to mine 40 minutes before closing and they wouldn't give me the time of day. The lady said intake takes 20+ mins and they had a lobby full of people so I needed to come back Wednesday. They are closed tomorrow so now I get to keep waiting. Cock suckers

Official Timeline is as follows

Aug 23 - applied through MCO before new laws were implemented

Nov 30 - card issued

Dec 10 - card arrived 109 days

Never called or emailed. I'm guessing it'll be 10-14 business days from today to arrive??

I just did a little searching through this forum for info on other states, and all I found is that I don't think any of them have threads devoted to wait times. Which suggests it's not as big a concern elewhere.

I did find one post from a few years ago from someone in New Jersey complaining that it was almost a month wait time there.
