My dad walked into my room today when i was just about 3/4 threw blowing a bong hit out my window. He flipped shit! My dad sort of employes me, he is a big wig in the company that i work for. He told me to call into work and say i need a couple days off, cause he said im not allowed to go back to work until i pass a drug test.

He knows i smoke, he had just never caught me before. Im 22 i feel like i can make my own decisions. Anyway, im thinking about just going to work tomorrow anyway.

I know you people dont care, but what would you do?

Do you think he'd do anything to make you lose your job? Like snitch? If so, I'd listen to him.. if you wanna keep your job. But you're eight, you're old enough to make your own decisions. Parents like to ignore that fact, often.

your not going to pass a drug test in a couple of days, just go to work because it would be a total waste to sit around doing nothing for 30days while the thc leaves your system

lol yh tell him to stop being a dick and ask what his problom with it is witch will probs be cus its bad for you then prove him wrong with a dcoumentery on it or some thing then he might understand .

I agree. Flush your system of all the THC you can to pass your drug test then pick up where you left off.

At least be happy that he's letting you take a drug test instead of just firing you immediatley.

i agree with kali.. does he really think that you will be cleaned out in a couple of days? its gonna take a lot longer than that for your system to clean out.. does he really expect you to sit around for a month waiting? thats just dumb.. i would say that aslong as he's not the boss of the company or whatever, there's not much he can do to keep you from going in.. time to start saving some cash and look for your own place.. one last ? though, does your work ever give random drug tests? if not, i don't see what the problem is.. your off work, on your own time doing your own thing.. it in no way would affect your work or your abilities as an employee..

But that's the problem right there. He LIVES under his father's roof & his father has an influental position in his company. Until he does have his own place, he should do what his dad asks. But he SHOULD point out to his dad that "a few days" isn't going to be neraly enough time to pass a test. I'm surprised his dad doesn't know that already, to be honest.

Get another job, get your own place, run your own life. When a son or daughter decides they are too old to live by the house rules, it's natures way of telling all parties they need to find their own place.

Does your dad ACTUALLY have the ability to fire you or to get you fired, or are we just making that assumption. Either way I agree with the get your own place and a new job idea. There is truth in the under my roof under my rules thing though so until then I would at least lay off.

hey people, it turns out my dad was bluffing.. I got up for work at 4:30 expecting him to get out of bed and ask me what i was doing. He didnt get up at all and he never called me at work. Because im a carpenter he feels that for the next couple of days after smokeing i will be a danger to the rest of the carpenters and maybe be an insurance issue. Which is total bs thats why i just got up and went. I feel that if he where to tell my feild corrdinator the story, if would only embarass him as much as it would me. Thanks for your advise, still cleaning out my system tho.. im not taking any chances

If I were you, I would just go to work lol. I mean Weed passes, its not like if its in your system you'll be high or Unable to do your job lol...

I smoke, Im 21 my dad knows I do and so does my boss, it doesn't effect my work or ethic so i keep smoking =)

Damn! You're a carpenter?!! Shit, I just built a house and every contractor on the job site was stoned! No weed, no work I think they told me...
