Not in a tent it is just in my spare bedroom I think 9x8x9 is my flower room give or take a foot I haven't mesure exactly and my veg room is 3x7x9. And I very dearly hope that my plants will look like that. I've been spendin a lot of time reading on here
 
Good sized area- any reflective surface? Panda film, flat white paint, mylar-helps alot. Lights and # of pots? Lights are THE MOST important part! be it HID, LED T-5, just need plenty to cover. Lighting is another HUGE discussion/ argument that noone can win LOL-kinda like arguing politics or religion.

Flat white paint currently a 6 inch air cooled 600w hps and have 4 plants budding bUT they are in soil. And my veg which is where I have converted to hydro(in process of going full hydro when they flip to bud) :). I have a 6 inch fan blowing air in and a 6 inch on my air cooled light (still not enough on hot days open to ideas on how to cool more). Veg room i have a 4 inch intake from outside with no fan blowing in but have a 4 inch blowing out(sucking air out). As for lighting in veg I have 2 100 watt hps lights.(Veg room is in closet of bedroom.) As long as flower room heat stays down veg room heat is okay.

I would say 600 ppm (on .5 scale) is way too high and wasting your nutes. There is no way a seedling up taking all of that and the plant will be just fine at 200-300 ppm...if that.

I rarely go much higher than 700 in the entire plant cycle and I still get burnt tips.

Agree. I was destroying my rooted clones @ 400ppm. Once I dropped to 250 everything was perfect. I've increased around 50ppm each week, and they've been growing great! I've gotten 3"+ growth a day in my RDWC/UC! I just started week-4, and I'm at around 530ppm using GH Floro Trio.

800ppm is about as high as I ever got when I previously grew, and it wasn't without some burning. I usually go by the adjusted charts from growers on riu or Google search.

Every plant has different needs and the environment will often dictate what a plant can handle. I do a lot of topping off and only swap my buckets out a few times during the flowering cycle so in that way I do some things in an unconventional way. Dwc is constant feed so less is more quite often. The plant is only going to take what it needs...

My tap water is 325 PPM, what do you recommend, an RO filter?
Sorry to disagree, but I do.
700 PPM in hydro will keep your tips from burning, but definitely keep your bud from reaching full potential I have ran this schedule for years, and yea, I get a few burnt tips but I also get huge bud.
I'll take a burnt tip anyday

Hey man if it works for you then great but I believe you are definitely wasting nutes. My goal is to never have my tips burn but it happens because shit gets out of balance as she drinks. But I'm not talking in theory, I am talking based on my actual experience.

Would most certainly say get an RO filter. How is your salt build up? My tap water is around 300 which is why I stopped using it years ago. 1 I don't want to smoke what they put in our tap water and 2 I got way more out of my bottled nutrients by starting with water in the 0-10 ppm range.

But all of this is about doing what works for your situation. I just think your bottles would last you longer with the same or better results if you dial it back some.

But there are too many posters that feed at 700 or less in this forum that post their work that in my view disproves your claim about "reaching full potential".

Like you said, whatever works for you, and that is what it is all about.
All that I know is that my bud doesn't burn running at my levels, and I get good product, so I am happy.
Oh, have you ever done a runoff test on a soil grow?
I don't think so, because it is usually in the 1500's at least,
What does that tell you? It tells me that the plant has the capability to thrive at high EC/PPM.
So, I try to emulate soil levels in hydro, and it seems to have worked so far.

The difference between soil and hydro though, my friend, is that soil plants uptake nutrients through microbes while the uptake in hydro is direct and young plants can definitely get burnt by soil that's too "hot" for them. But as we agree, it's all about what works for you.

Out if the tap I'm @ 100ppm. I can't find anything indicating that my water company's using chloramine.and after the chlorine dissipates overnight, it drops to 70ppm. If your water's that hard, and most-likely contains chloramine, you would probably benefit quite a bit by getting an RO system. If mine was a little higher, I'd think about getting a cheap in-line filter. In fact, I've read more than a few times that 110ppm is the limit.

I don't know if the minerals in the water have an effect on the pH levels, but mine stay locked at 6.0, even after adding nutes. I'm also going on week-4 without changing my res. I don't think I'd be that lucky if I was using hard water.
 
I'm switching to pails this fall so will push a couple and see what happens versus lower levels. I do actually use my res water (600-700ppm's) to root clones in root riot cubes and it works great. I only started to do it when I got lazy once and it's a long walk to get fresh water lol.

I'm pushing mine a little as well. Just starting week-4, I bumped up to around 700ppm.
