Ok so like the title says, Im getting sick of soil. It's a pain in the ass to store for me (apartment living). Im also sick of fungus gnats, which always seem to come free w/ every other bag of soil that I buy.
So I am considering a hydro/aero/bubble/whatever system to use instead.

I have been using soil for over 20 years, my only adventure out of soil was using a bubble cloner. I'm pretty happy w/ the results that I got so the switch has become more interesting.

I am looking for the SIMPLEST system that I can use. I dont have the desire for anything too complex.

I have 2 small grow spaces. A 5 foot tall cabinet for 3 Bonsai Mother plants and their cuttings, and a seperate flowering chamber w/ a 150 HPS that Im also adding a 400 HPS to this week.
Space is limited for me, a 5 gallon res. or something large is out of the question. I need to keep it small, retard proof, and reliable.

So if anyone would care to help me out Id appreciate it.

hi ink.

take a look at the hempy bucket there's loads of info on here.

its the easyest soil-less method i know.

and no need for an xtra res.

Thanks all, i just read up on Hempy Buckets, and that seems the way to go for me.
Gonna go do some more reading, make a supply list and go shopping. I have an order of beans coming as we speak, gonna do a side by side comparison using 2 different strains.

The only thing negative Ive read on Hempy is that it can be hard to start seeds and seedlings. Seems like an odd question, but could I start my beans in small cups of soil and then transplant into Hempy mix after the seedling is healthy and growing?

root riot, rockwool, or peat pucks are better and easy to transplant.

i germ all my seeds in root riot cubes with an aero probagaiter then when i have good rooting i transplant into hempys starting with 2ltr for a couple of weeks then into 10 ltr till harvest.

auto's go from the prob directly into 5 ltr till harvest as they don't realy like being transplanted once they get going ( tends to stunt growth ).

yes 2 inch net pots are perfect for root riot cubes there about an inch square or just over.
