Dude, SOMEONE PLEASE give me a link to some "reasonably" priced lights. I'm sick of trying to figure out what the hell I need. Everyone had their differen't opinions and I just want the straight forward.
 
chill out, and never give up! during veg you will be fine w/ some cfl's

then if you want some good ass buds get a 400w hps for blooming

simple as that!!! if you dont have money for the hps right now then save your money for about 35-45 days (veg period) and go get one.
 
ok simple and cheep CFL! go to home depot and get compact florescents there are many types! look on the back and make sure it is the brighest white you can find. it will say ####K. look for the highest # you can the optimal is 6400k full spectrum but under that will do. the brighest i could find at home depot was the 75W equivilant daylight! it is in a blue package brand name "N:vision". these will work and they are cheep! i came out with a 3 pack for under $10. that is as cheep as you can get and they work well!

oh yeah! and as far as other equipment... remember this plant is a weed it is hard to kill and grows in many enviroments. you don't need a good set up to grow it (although it greatly helps). if you take care of it as a seedling then it will grow into a strong plant. just don't over love it and you can save $ while growing some green! i hope this pep talk helps. it can be overwhelming at first but i am sure you will do fine!
 
ok you can just buy a wide spectrum bulb for like 5-15 bucks, and then get the fixture for like 15-30. go to like agway or something, or some place that sells a lot of different lamps and stuff. that's all i did. it gets the job done, and it's a lot cheaper than a lot of the other types of lamps.
