I would take as much sun as I could get.. the more sun the better. I know plants don't like +90 degree temps for the most part but the biggest and best plants I have had lots and lots of direct sun.
Agree, my plants grow on my roof where it is 90+ in August - 100+ sometimes - cooling a little now - they love the Spanish sun.

My best girl this year

keep telling yourselves that pots are better... and im getting my grow info from past experience. i have used pots and grew tall plants in em but my shorter and bushier plants in the ground yield damn near twice as much. and im sorry but ur not gonna yield more than me in ur 18 gal pot or whatever ur talkin about. the proof is in the pudding and i will be posting pics and vids of my results. and we will see if ur stack up. and maybe his plant wasnt bushy cuz the roots couldnt go out. and gangagrower ur the fucking retard who let ur plants die like that. ive never had any problem like that in 5 years of growing. all i know is come harvest time im gonna be smoking a bunch of fire for realatively nothing while ur still gonna be pondering what went wrong this year and how ur gonna fix it for next year. meanwhile after my harvest i will begin rototilling my natural clay soil and ammending. getting ready for another grow the next year. hit me up ganga maybe i can donate some bud to u at the end of the year, looks like ur going to be running short lol...

. You think you can't get yield from a 20 gallon pot? Try over an lb from an 18 gallon pot. Sure, you could get more but that's pretty decent. Plus he dug his shit up and it wasn't rootbound. His plant was tall but not that bushy. My plant is rootbound like a motherfucker and it's healthy and producing buds. Plants don't die from being rootbound. I'd rather use a 32 gallon trash can then rototilling six inches into the ground. I gurantee better results with that method.
and i know plants still live while rootbound... what killed it is his trying to fix all these other problems with his nutes and ph when they probably werent ever the problem. and i dont care what u say about digging it up and u seen it wasnt rootbound, if it didnt have roots a couple feet out at least (which i can tell it didnt based on how tiny those plants were) then it was rootbound. some of my plants are 5 ft wide, they dont get like that in tiny holes or pots. ill be disappointed with a couple of my plants if they dont yield at least 2lbs, while ur hoping for a 1lb that would be a shame for me. and do u got pictures stankalot, lets see some of ur girls that u got in pots.

dude im not gonna argue with you anymore southsacboy916 but im pretty sure anyone here will back me up that your a fucking idiot....100 gallon pots are totally unnecessary (imagine 20 5 gallon buckets for just one plant?) that plants roots went into the clay soil and was not root bound....when i dug it up there were roots everywhere into the surrounding soil i had to tear out. I thought it was underfed when it was probably overfed and gave it too many nutes or it had Ph lockout or something else...root bound... definetly not it

u aint gonna yield shit in 20 gal pots but go ahead and listen to dlively. next year just rototill the natural soil and ammend it. if ur gonna do pots u need at least 100 gal and if ur gonna do it that big its gonna cost a good penny for soil. i just rototill and add promix sunshine, thats it. and the natural dirt where im at is clay also. just add some perlite or gravel for drainage. ur gonna have the same problem next year if u use pots, rootbound... i know u dont think that was ur problem but trust me it wasnt ur ph.
So says the clueless wonder ..... I also yielded a pound on a 15 gallon pot with a average yielding strain. WTF would you rototill clay soil ??? Soil that bad just isnt good for growing. All he can do with soil like that is dig a hole and essentially make a pot in the ground that wont drain properly. Your clay soil might be very different then his. Some clay soil just wont work well no matter what you do. FYI You can yield several pounds per plant with a 45 gallon pot. LOL that you need atleast a 100 gallon pot to yield. I have also yielded a 1/4 pound in 1 gallon pots indoors and could have vegged much longer. That was soil too. You can do much more in hydro. Have had mothers in 2-3 gallon pots for a year. Produce lots of clones and grow just great. Why arent they dead from being rootbound? Wow just wow.....

LOL newbie with an attitude. Here you go. Over a month ago well before entering bloom. About 10 feet across and 10 feet tall. Also have another in a 45 gallon pot that is about 9 feet tall and 6 feet wide that will yield atleast 2 pound.. Keep digging up clay soil and beleiving what you want to believe. Reality just hit you square in the face bro =)

FYI no one is saying that pots are better then in ground. In ground you need to have really good soil and you have to dig up a lot of dirt and amend it properly if you want to take advantage of being in ground.

Southsacboy you come across as a real jerk.

Sacboy doesn't have much to say now. He'd rather rototill a couple inches into the ground and not amend deep and wide. So far you've been wrong on all acounts. Maybe you should stop giving out absolutest grow advice when you don't have experience. By the way, your plants do look nice. Just stop knocking other people's methods.

Sorry. That was a really bad post. I was directing that at sacboy since first he said it was rootbound that killed it. Then he said that anything less than 100 gallon pot won't yield shit. I meant his plants still looked nice with his method, but he shouldn't be giving out shoddy advice and bashing people. He's got pics in his journal. My bad for the confusion. I can see how you thought I was talking to you.

dlively, those are some big girls. You're going to have one hell of a harvest.

yea i will give you that you know how to grow killer shit but still that comment on not yeilding shit in a 20 gallon bucket? i could still do fine in a fucking five gallon bucket. A pretty good common rule is 1 gallon per foot of growth and 5 foot plants are plenty for me (all im looking for is enough bud for me and my close friends for the year until next years harvest) 100 gallon buckets is pointless and a total waste of time, money, effort....

hit me up ganga maybe i can donate some bud to u at the end of the year, looks like ur going to be running short lol...
Is this offer still valid? Cause Im down for some free roto-tilled smoke.
