im in need of some tips please ;)

so ive been growing my plant for 2 months and its only 6inches with 8 leaves =/
ive been having to keep it on the D/L from my mom *im 16* or obviously i get in some deep shit.
it sits on my window sill and i water it until soil is wet, once week. it gets normal sunlight for however long the sun shines.
i need tips on how to grow my plant faster *her name is daphne =D* while keeping it hidden.

You could keep it in a closet with some light, like a 150w hps or something.It would be more hidden, and get more light.

more light would always help. You could get nutrients, fox farm, advanced nutrient, ect. Start monitoring PH and ppm's. Switching to hydro will speed things up.

heres the thing, when daphne starts flowering, daphne is gonna start stinking up...the house. So you keeping this from your mom will be hard unless you find a way to flower that without nuking the entire house with ganja fumes.

i have no idea how to grow hydro.
could you fill me in on how to do that?
ah crap?? its gonna be that dank while growing?? dammit! >_< maybe the closet will have to do for now =/
but do tell me about the 'dro! im interested on how that works.

lol, yea, the plants will stink even if it's not an exceptionally smelly plant. There is a lot with hydro man, best to find a guide on that, i'd be here all day.

heres an idea though. You can get a 60$ 150W light with ballast and reflector and all, then buy the bottom unit to the aerogarden and it will cost you 160$ for light+aerogarden bottom unit. Thats a pretty damn cheap setup that works. Get liquid nutrient if you are gonna do that, along with ph and PPM meter and bubbler. you can get the rest of that for like...30+16+10+15+aerogarden+light=240$ for a fully working 150W hydro setup.

handling stench is a bigger deal. You could get ona gel, a 150w setup won't get too stinky, but i'm not sure if ona gel would completely do the trick. In which case you would need a one way in one way out sealed in system with a carbon filter in the exhuast

it looks like its just not gettin enough light, therefore it dosent grow that much or fast, try doin this, just buy a CFL for it... make a grow box with pc case or closet or cabinet or something... keep the cfl 2-4 inches from the plant and u should notice change... this is what i do to my plants from sprout to flower.... just 1 26w... then as big as it grows the more lights i add to cover it.... but if you plan on just keeping it by the window its whole life and try to hide it...then your goin to have probs youngin... it gets bigger lol... and then it will smell.... think bout the whole thing start to finish before you start... dont want to have like... a 1footer and end up having to throw it away because its been found or you cant hide it anymore

haha, i'd agree. You are gonna be stuck half assing this if you have to hide from the people you live with. Unless you've got the money to drop that is. They make grow boxes that work pretty well.

does it matter when you grow it? no, im just as capable of growing something as you are. at least i grow up becoming more strategic and clever with where or how i grow it. the sooner the better. shit, by the time im your age i might be growing stuff that will put you in a coma from being to damn stoned to do anything.

yea its gonna b hard hiding it kid, even before it flowers, you will start smelling it (depending on its health) but shiiiit, after it takes off youll first smell kinda minty with a hint of weed... then it gets stronger... and i dont think itll b a secret unless your mom never walks in your room or even near it for that matter (because i close my door and still the smell pours out to the hallways...and thats still before flowering)

lol well, i keep the window cracked, and the thing is with my mother is that as long as i do well in school she doesnt suspect that im on anything. her bedroom is downstairs while mine is upstairs. so im not to worried about that, i've thought through on how to cover up the smell.

i'm in the same situation dude.
Luckily, my plant is smaller, so she is under my bed.
Going to move her next week to my closet, just moved all my clothes higher and got a 150w HPS ready. just setting it up so I can adjust the height of the light, but I only get a liek 3 hours a week where I can do anything (i'm always in work, and i have to make adjustments on my day off and my mum goes shopping)

150w hps, 42$. Sun system has a 80-90$ one that is pretty good too. I currently use it. It boasts 16000 lumens which i believer most 150W hps', like the 42$ one i linked you to, have 15000lumens.

thanks alot, i went right way to retrieve the light bulb, and it sits in my closet growing beautifuly. she has shown much improvement

First things first its ok that you smoke and there is notjing wrong with that.What the problem is,you are endangering the well being of your parents household.oh. you need more light the window wont work because at this time of year the sun loses intinsity..less lumans

Windows don't work period, they have coatings in them that block a majority of the light, its not even close to the light you would get outside or under a good MH or HPS light.

at 2 months of growth I am usually 1 month into flowering with 3-4 foot plants, so yours is a slow grower. What kind of soil are you using? Do you give any fertilizer? Bigger lights =bigger plants, but in your situation it may be difficult to grow a 4 foot plant under a 400 watt HPS light so you'll just have to be stealth and small. nuthin wrong with that, we each do what we can. The smallest HPS I would recommend is a 250 watt, but in your situation a 125 might be your only course of action. Either that or inferior CFL and Fluoro lights.

You should get a closet ready and try to make it as concealed as possible and as quiet as possible without getting things too hot. Smell may become an issue, 1 plant can stink up the whole house and your Mom sure as heck will go looking for the source and she knows your the only one who could be doing it,so right to your bedroom she will go.
