I'm looking for recommedations for strains for a warm indoor grow.

Out here in the high desert I am hoping to find a strain that can take temps in the low 90'sF for a daily maximum and tolerate lower humidity numbers. The grow will be semi-indoors and humidity can be better controlled than temps. I will be using cobs in the more protected areas. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

My first grow was in a closet getting around 88+ F during the day and 66F at night.. Everything struggled except for the Durban Poison clone. Maybe try something of African lineage

Your gonna have to bite the bullet and get control of those temps. Trust me. That's too hot for any strain out there and pull off quality. Indoors is completely different than outside growing. Whole different set of parameters. It can be done but that doesnt mean it should. Build your room/environment around your selected cultivars not the other way around. Picking a strain that thrives in a half assed growroom isnt gonna cut it. You wont be happy with the results 95% of the time. Serious. Ive tried all of that..years ago. Subpar boo boo is what I got...and a light bill on top of all of it. Build the correct growroom and run any strain you want.

Was going to say the same thing. Power Africa or any Durban will do well also more resistant to other heat related issue like mold etc

I agree with @since1991. Just because the odd strain may be able to handle higher temps doesn't mean it will be any good. You're better off to spend your money and time on keeping the environment in check.

Believe me...if there were indoor strains that kicked ass and thrived in 90 plus degree grow rooms and we still pulled down the chunkers of fire...we would all be growing them with a far less expensive electric bill.

For the price you can't go wrong with

Northern light blue
Cherry bomb
Gorilla bomb

Thanks for the input all. I will be able to work with better environmental controls in a 2 sq meter tent and a smaller (1sq.m)tent for germination and clones. There is another 6sq.m or so that can't be completely closed in or taken out and I want to use it if I can. Thanks for the African strains. I did consider that, but whatever I grow there would likely need enhanced lighting.

I had a pheno of Ice by Nirvana seeds that was a great plant and handled heat like a champ. She was the only plant that me and my buddy grew that never diminished in quality because of high 80s low 90s midwest humidity heat. We didn't have the luxury of a portable AC in the basement and summer time all the other plants produced shitty resin but that Ice cut stayed solid.

This was 2007-8 so not sure if you will get the same Ice that I got back then but for $22 a 10 pack I'd say it's worth trying. It was very potent, basically a skunk style plant but low smell, dense buds great yield, weird fruity taste. This was long before my RIU days so no pics sadly

Anyone have any familiarity with a strain called Borderline?
It was recommended to me but I can't find a seedbank that has it.

Durban strains are my rec as is a rec of a few others, if strains are hard to find stick to the heavily tried and tested ones

Outdoor weed copes with whatever the temps are as long as they have enough water. you might have to reduce the amount of food in the water as they drink loads.

Amnesia haze also was sticky and frosty like nothing I've grown since in sweltering 40+C days.

low 90s is hot? Its not even swimming temps....
You can grow fine in the low 30c. Air movement and water.

O ur outdoors (sorta), sorry I thought indoor for some reason...yea 40c plus is no drama. They love it, perticully the sativas and crosses. As ANC mentioned anything with Haze in it should benefit from warm temps.

I just don't want to give up on the space but I can't enclose it.
I have grown cactus and succulents outdoors for 45+ years.
I am a newbie in a tent. 1st grow is on now 2nd week of 12/12.
It is bag seed but it was saved over a 6 or 8 year period. I started
with 11 five gallon plastics and one 10 gallon for a scrog.
This is all an experiment. Soil was my cactus and succulent
mix tweaked with compost and a little extra peat, blood and bone
meal, and Whitney Farms organic bedding fertilizer (2-4-2). Top
dressed with Dynamite Mater Magic organic (8-5-5) when plants
were 3 weeks old per directions. One third of my 4'x8' tent is
dedicated to the scrog. Because have regular seed I planted 2
seedlings about 6 inches apart hoping that at least one would be
female that could be completely grown out for comparison. I got
lucky and they are both ladies. Four of the 11 five gallons were
were male (1 impressive enough to save some pollen).
I used different pruning techniques, varied perlite and nute
concentrations, tried vigorous Ph balancing on a couple plants,
moved 1 plant under CFL, and generally screwed around with
variables. My years of growing tell me that simple is best
and only experience shows you what that is. There is something
to be said for the virtues of benign neglect. I will never grow
with the best, state of the art equipment like most of us here.
BUT
Not sure I can smoke all this without scromiting. This still leaves
the problem of my under lit outdoor space. I wish all my
problems were this small. Still...

Supplement with co2, then theyll be able to not only handle but actually thrive. That said you still need a way to cool things down near the end of grow to get those hydrocarbons goin, otherwise your weed wont smell.
